Sorry, it's not close. Lamaar is a terrible passer. Dak is decent and getting better.

Sorry but I don't buy that for a second. Decent and getting better applies to both of them.

Dak and Lamar's passing about as close as they can be. We'll see what this year brings.

How often could the Ravens have used 4 WRs?

With regards to number of catches, their TEs were 1st, 4th and 5th.

A RB was 6th and the 3rd WR was 7th. Their 4th WR was 8th on the list for number of receptions.

Their TEs played a higher percentage of the offensive snaps than the Cowboys TEs in 2019:
Boyle 70%
Andrews 41%
Hurst 41%

Witten 75%
Jarwin 39%
Schultz 10%
Yeah.

They are using what they have.

What my question implies is what assets do we have that we could utilize better to win.

Alot have talked about the dangers of injury to the QB running too much.

Yes..there is that.

But more along the lines of running the QB is not the frequency but when.

Dak is outstanding running when he squares it and takes of.

Just increase it more. Jackson has his skill sets as does Dak.

Dak needs to step out of bounds or get down in slide but run.

Run the option. Run a quick toss sweep. Sprint right throw back left.

My main point is feature Dak. Not just as a pocket passer but as a multi weapon player.

In 2016, I thought Dak was showing some of this. He was moving around, unloading the ball downfield, moving the chains right down the field.

It was a beautiful thing. The ball was spread all over.

Then Garrett started to remake Dak with his reads, his footwork, Garrett listened to critics who said Dak was a game manager and not going downfield.

Garrett had Dak hold the ball longer and made Dak take over 60 sacks in 2017 following that.

So I just want to maximize our QB and keep the defense from pinning its ears at the QB and hitting Dak as much as we have seen.

That's basically my point.

My big question at this point is..

seeing how Jackson set the league on fire last season with his running out of pass formation..

are we going to incorporate that more into our offense?

are we going to run 4 receiver sets this year frequently?

Won't Zeke and the OL be able to open some gaping holes for Zeke and Pollard to exploit?

Will we do that?

If we run 4 receiver formations..will the QB draw and sweep be run? If the secondary takes off for the endzone to cover..has to be huge gaps to run thru.

Jackson with the Ravens have made that Jackson's trademark. Can Dak do that? Will he do that?

Farve was a mobile QB and he won like crazy.

Rodgers was not and was more of a pocket passer.

The WCO is very different than what we have been trying to do.

McCarthy has some things to adjust to with this cast of characters. Moore probably helps but still..

Dak needs to take on a new personality in 2020.

Here's wishing his success for sure. Everything depends on him now.

What do you guys see?

Stop.

Stop rewriting history to fit your narrative.

Farve ran constantly, sprinting out, heaving way down field.

Try YouTube. It's handy when you research topics.

Try it soon.
Compare Rodgers and Favres rushing numbers.

Are you done being completely and utterly oblivious?

Take a look at this.

Roll out..

Run..

Throw

TD.

Farve.

Lmao? Nearly every QB has isolated flashes of mobility, Favre wasnt even half as mobile as Rodgers.

Rodgers is quite literally known for escaping the pocket in highlight reel fashion. Would you like to stop being completely oblivious? You might literally be the only person on Earth who thinks Favre's mobility was even half as mobile as Rodgers.

Do you also think Chad Pennington had a stronger arm then Jay Cutler?

Baltimore better win the Super Bowl within the next two years. Jackson's days as a running quarterback are numbered.
Vick is the closest match to Lamar. Vick was only effective for a couple years. Then he ran for a bunch of yards to finish 8-8 and 7-9, his last two years in ATL.

You really need to watch Lamar more. He's really bad. His passing stats are from high percentage dumpoffs to TE's and RB's. For some reason, he cannot throw to the outside. Lamar and Dak are not in the same league as passers. It's not close at all.

That's your opinion, not mine. They're very close and the stats bear that out. I think you're way off base, here and I'll agree to disagree. We could waste time arguing about this 'til we're blue in the face and nothing would be settled. It's much closer than you want to admit. Time will bear that out. Lamar is operating behind an OL that is the Raven's weakest point and doing really well for himself in the meantime.

The facts will present themselves as time permits. Lamar's career is in its infancy and yet to be set in stone, while Dak still has had far more time to prove himself and still has yet to convince everyone of his true value. Both of these two are very capable.Time will tell all we need to know about what their futures hold. It's way too early to pass judgment on Lamar right now and the year ahead isn't even one to count on.

The stats do not bear that out at all. Lamar had only 3,127 yards passing last season. His leading receiver was his TE, Mark Andrews. Bus driver numbers.

Dude, you are incorrect. Here's an excerpt about the Ravens OL from last season; "The Ravens had one of the top OL's in the NFL, and it paved the way for their record setting rushing attack. OLT Stanley did not allow a sack the entire season. "

Lamar is a much better runner than Dak. Dak is a much better passer than Lamar. As a passer, they are not in the same stratosphere.

I'm giving you facts. You're not absorbing them.

Lamar's career is indeed in its infancy, and I'm not passing judgment. At present, Lamar isn't a good passer.

Not is Dak in the same league as Lamar as a runner. I don’t know why anyone would think they have similar skill sets that could be used the same way. They are very different players.

I dont think you can run the same offense because Jackson is so elusive that even when you are planning on him running he still cant be stopped. Dak is a good solid runner but isnt elusive like Jackson. Daks best runs come when you least expect it. Teams are actually watching for Dak to run in the redzone and he isnt as effective as he was. So the answer is no Dallas cant run the Ravens offense. When the Texans tried to do this even Watson was getting hit too much.

And started getting hurt. Running QB have a short career. I always complain during games that Dak has a open lane and he looks at it and don’t take it . But glad he don’t do it as much as I ask. That’s how he hurt his shoulder.

Lamar's career is indeed in its infancy, and I'm not passing judgment. At present, Lamar isn't a good passer.

You are cherry picking the stats that suit your agenda and ignoring those that don't. Lamar has less INTs that Dak, even though he's good there. Their overall QB ratings favor Lamar buy a noteworthy margin as well. Dak had far more attempts passing than Lamar did, so naturally his yardage is going to be more, despite the fact that their completion % is extremely close. Dak doesn't come anywhere close to Lamar's rushing stats, that's a runaway. The passing stats are also extremely close in every category but you prefer to ignore that fact. Lamar has a lead in scoring TDs as well as less INTs.

Jackson's doing extremely well, despite the fact that the Raven's OL is considered one of the weakest parts of their team. You're favoring half-truths in favor of pushing your agenda. That's what you're not absorbing, yet you claim his passing is poor. It's not, yet you deny passing judgment. Whatever.

Let's abandon this pissing contest, OK? -- I believe we're both better than that. I'm not claiming Dak isn't a very good QB -- I like him and respect him for exactly what he is -- a very fine and capable QB and worthy of whatever he can get in terms of his upcoming contract, assuming it's agreed to. Your premature condemnation of Lamar Jackson's passing is without merit, though. Let's just give this very young QB his due respect.
