How often could the Ravens have used 4 WRs?
With regards to number of catches, their TEs were 1st, 4th and 5th.
A RB was 6th and the 3rd WR was 7th. Their 4th WR was 8th on the list for number of receptions.
Their TEs played a higher percentage of the offensive snaps than the Cowboys TEs in 2019:
Boyle 70%
Andrews 41%
Hurst 41%
Witten 75%
Jarwin 39%
Schultz 10%
Yeah.
They are using what they have.
What my question implies is what assets do we have that we could utilize better to win.
Alot have talked about the dangers of injury to the QB running too much.
Yes..there is that.
But more along the lines of running the QB is not the frequency but when.
Dak is outstanding running when he squares it and takes of.
Just increase it more. Jackson has his skill sets as does Dak.
Dak needs to step out of bounds or get down in slide but run.
Run the option. Run a quick toss sweep. Sprint right throw back left.
My main point is feature Dak. Not just as a pocket passer but as a multi weapon player.
In 2016, I thought Dak was showing some of this. He was moving around, unloading the ball downfield, moving the chains right down the field.
It was a beautiful thing. The ball was spread all over.
Then Garrett started to remake Dak with his reads, his footwork, Garrett listened to critics who said Dak was a game manager and not going downfield.
Garrett had Dak hold the ball longer and made Dak take over 60 sacks in 2017 following that.
So I just want to maximize our QB and keep the defense from pinning its ears at the QB and hitting Dak as much as we have seen.
That's basically my point.
