Except wins are not a QB stat. Drew Brees had about 7 years of terrible seasons including 3 straight 7-9 seasons with NO and they were not looking to move on from him. QB is the most important position but winning in the NFL is a team effort. You have to have truly terrible (like Detroit levels of terrible) to get top 7-8 picks with one though which does make the job harder but it does not change the fact that winning games in the NFL is a team effort and you do not replace the good pieces when they are playing well. Zack Martin is not on the chopping block for that reason, same with Tyron (though his back might force the issue), and this is because you do not throw the baby out with the bathwater. You build around the hits you get while trying to get more hits. The QB position is a hit. Blowing up the entire roster and trying to start fresh is a multi year project like after the next 2 years it probably being 3 years of not being competitive best case, 4-5 more realistically, just to MAYBE get back to where you are right now.
