Are you really saying that because some fans are illogical for downplaying a bad act Zeke committed, that somehow makes it right for you to be illogical for downplaying a good act? If it's wrong for them it's wrong for you.

Besides, you didn't just say it wasn't a big deal, you turned it into a Zeke bash and acted like somehow someone was trying to force you to decide Zeke was a good guy. You changed the topic to serve another purpose.
They can downplay it all they want, that’s their opinion, but I will argue and give my opinion as well.

Actually, my first comment was in response to the instigator @Ranching  There were also plenty of people saying he was a good guy so I gave examples of he wasn’t. How is that any different then someone bringing up examples like this in threads after he does something “bad” to try and show what a good guy he really is? Seems like a double standard.

Maybe you should google Zeke and what he has donated. It hasn't been "a little good deed", he has been donating to the food bank and salvation army consistently since becoming a Cowboy. I agree he has made dumb, stupid mistakes, and is not my favorite either, but he has done more good than this one thing, if you are going to bash him (rightfully imo) for the bad things, at least don't downplay the good ones.

This.
Most players do several good deeds, good for him, good for the people that benefited but in the overall picture I’m not impressed. I may be wrong but I think I’m quite familiar with his charitable acts and I wouldn’t call them several.

He'll find something wrong with it. Probably whine that for 90 million he could give more. He actually dismissed zeke's contributions to the salvation army as a drop in the bucket.
For him it was a drop in the bucket, just like me dropping .25 in the kettle is a drop in the bucket. According to you, .25 is generous no matter what, sorry I don’t use the term generous as loosely as you do.

Give it a rest, strawman. You're the only person saying it was a quarter. I never did.

I believe I actually used a dollar as my example but it doesn’t change what you said. Come up with some new terminology, haven’t heard straw man before. You probably never even heard that before coming here, it’s the most over used and misused term on this site.

Why does he need to raise anything. Thats like a drop in the bucket with his salary.

A. Because it gets other people involved and aware. One person alone cannot do as much as the masses.
B. Because there are multiple ways to help a cause, and if you limit to only one way you limit what you can accomplish.

Why does Bill Gates need to make appearances at fundraisers and charity events?

You can give money, or your time to raise money. Either way, it's a generous gift.

I respect Zeke for raising any amount of money and hope he gave some of his own.

When I was about 8 years old, I was walked into a store with my Dad around Christmas and I laughed at the Salvation Army guy collecting money at the door - not sure why. My Dad smacked me in the head and made me give the guy 20 bucks. I always remember that and it kind of made me into the man I am today. Not sure why I felt the need to relay that story

He’s probably using the money he screwed fans out of when he participated at a sports convention and made them buy his merchandise he signed anything when they were already guaranteed two signed items. Real stellar guy!

That says its from 2018.....we are in 2020 now.......I have a hard time shedding tears for people who will pay 3,000 dollars for a autograph or a booth. He'll be ok. Meanwhile, Zeke actually feeding people who need it.
