Letting Dak go will be the best thing Cowboys can do

No, I’m coming to these conclusions from sportswriters and beat writers who are reporting who are closer to the situation. It’s called opinions smartarse. This is a fan forum not a news service. Lol

And tell me just which of these sportswriters and beat writers have had direct quotes from any of the 4 people that are actually involved in the negotiations? On another thread right now is a perfect example of how untrustworthy those sportswriters are. Todd Archer wrote an article about Gregory not reinstated yet and he said "there is some hope the Dallas Cowboys defensive end can be involved with the organization in some fashion, sources told ESPN." even though most people know that suspended players are not allowed any contact with teams or allowed at the team facility but a "source" told him the Cowboys are hoping for Gregory to be able to.

Does that mean our opinions on the other 31 teams is irrelevant ? We are only qualified to offer opinions on our team with our own blinders.
You are qualified to do whatever the hell you want just like I'm qualified to not listen. If I want advise or if I want information about a certain team I'd go to someone who actually watches them play.

Quite.

According to that poster people are only allowed opinions on the team they follow.

The reality is that an outsider is more likely to provide an objective and impartial view than that of a biased fan. It's Interesting because the Giants fan has a different view to his although the same as every non Cowboy fan that I know, so it figures that he just dismisses him out of turn.

We will get a third round compensatory pick at minimum plus the cap savings if Dak walks after this season.

I understand. I still don’t think a 3 is enough though. I’ve said this before. If they do move on from Dak. That’s fine. But I will only be happy with that if they spend a premium first rounder on a highly touted prospect. I don’t want a mid round project and I don’t want a re-tread journeyman.

So they need to try and get a first rounder for Dak so they have picks to move up and nab another QB. Because remember a 3rd round comp wouldn’t be coming until the 2022 draft.

IMO.

That makes no sense. So a outsider who doesn't watch the Cowboys will give a more objective and impartial view than a biased fan? That's silly. Why on earth would a Giant fan have a better view of a team than someone who actually watches them? Make it make sense.

Let Dak go, start Dalton for 1-2 years while we draft Dalton's replacement. In the meantime, sign every good defensive free agent you can get with the $40 million per year that Dak would have wanted.

Dalton + strong offense + strong defense
> Dak + strong offense + weak defense.

Dalton had several good defenses in Cinci. Why would it be different this time?

Btw, I only say this @WillieBeamen because let’s be real. Jerry Jones has a history of going cheap on the QB position.

He fell a** backwards into Romo and no matter what you think about Dak, got lucky on that pick too considering he wanted 2 busts at QB earlier in that draft.

I don’t trust Jerry to find the next QB. That’s part of my concern.

I may trust McCarthy though....... but would he have the power to make the call?

If you don’t want opinions , speculations , etc why in the hell would you come on a fan forum? Just stay by your TV, radio and wait for official news. Geeze

I make speculations all the time but when I do I say something like I think or I believe or say something that invokes others common sense. I welcome opinions I just have a problem with those that state something as a foregone conclusion because of how they think, especially when what they think is based on just speculation to start out with.

Dalton had better defenses than Dak could ever dream of having and still failed.

There's a name associated with a person that is a fan of something and then goes to a site other than that of what they are a fan of and that name is troll. Cowboys fans should feel free to say what they want about other teams here as a Cowboys fan on a Cowboys site, but being a Cowboys fan and going to another teams site would make them a troll too.

That certainly could be true for some but not necessarily all. We have Trolls who are Cowboy fans too.

I think some fans take offense with others who disagree with them. Regardless if they are Cowboy fans or not.

If this Giant fan had been supportive of Dak he’d of been more accepted.

Again, you dispute any opinion that differs from yours . Shocking.. lol

You really should stay away and shield yourself from differing opinions.

No I have problems with opinions and usually reply to them. I accept them as opinions because they say it's their opinion or they think something but when people say something based on speculation and say it as some kind of foregone conclusion based on that speculation are the ones that I will ask about their conversations with whoever. There are a whole array of opinion here and they get discussed. Either except that people disagree with yous especially when it's based on just speculation or don't post based on speculation.

Everything here is an opinion. This isn’t a an official news service. We don’t start every post with IMO.

And if you believe in something then you might present as true. But it’s still opinion. You really are struggling with the basic concept .

You have problems with opinions and speculations you don’t agree with. Lol

You're right if he was supportive he wouldn't be a troll, but he wasn't so he is a troll. People who are fans of the same team discussing things about that team on that team's site are not trolls just because they don't agree. It's my opinion that those who get labeled here as a troll are fans from other teams who get a user name here and then do their trolling and think they get away with it because they may have picked a user name that makes them appear to be Cowboys fans. I know this because I sometimes go to eagles or giants sites and just read what they say and don't ever comment, I don't even have user names on them and one of the users on a eagles site admitted that he goes to this site just to start arguments.

Giants fan here. Not an enemy though. My own son is a huge Cowboys fan and I flew him to Dallas to watch his Cowboys twice. There are plenty of Cowboys fans who can vouch for me. The heck, I watched Cowboys-Giants game at Metlife with @YosemiteSam

With all that said, something my son and I agree on is Dak being a product of Cowboys offensive strength in Offensive Line and Zeke and above avg WR’s.

Dak isn’t bad. But he isn’t the world beater either. He isn’t Aaron Rodgers or Drew Brees or Tom Brady. Yet he is asking to be paid as such.

Let him go Dallas. You won’t be sorry.

P.S. I will not post on this thread again. My son asked me to start this thread so he could read counter arguments. Please be respectful knowing a teenage Cowboys fan will be reading what you write about his father.

Peace!

I like Dak as I do all our starters. I'd love for us to extend him. But, I think he should be a bit more willing to consider a 5 year deal. I think we can win with Dak, but I'll concede he's not Brees or Mahomes.

Gee I didn't think everyone here had the same opinions. Seems to me that opinions are disputed every day all day long here.

I see, I'm the only user on this entire site that has ever disputed someone else opinions. All the thousands of comments here all agree with one another except me. I'm the only user that has a problem with just agreeing with whatever whoever posts. You're not the site police and get ready because others will disagree with your opinions too.

I'm done with this silly game of yours so if you replay again I'll just ignore you.
