Why do we need to find a replacement. It’s all going to work out it’s just posturing.

It could. That's definitely possible. I personally do not think it will work out in the end.

What the heck are you saying. Stafford is infinitely better than dalton. Are you comparing the two? Stafford at worst is on par w dak...in similar situations, he might be better..but that's arguable..
Who cares if he’s better than Dalton. We need him to be better than Prescott and he’s not. And for the money for a back up Stafford go somewhere else

What loss in competitiveness? I'm not following.. In addition, you are getting a similar qb at worst, with potential to improve at the position.
You don’t understand that if a team signs a QB to a 4-5 year contract and age catches up to him in year 3 it could affect the ability of the team to be competitive through years 4-5?

Prescott is a top-five arguably top 10 quarterback. Stafford Can’t even make the top 15

Stafford played 8 games last year and was fantastic...

2500 yards 19 tds and 5 Ints

on a horrendous team, w awful supporting cast, and awful coach

Yall are sleeping

You’re sleeping Stafford hasn’t won anything in 11 years. He has an 0-3 playoff record and 2 of those losses were blowouts. Dak has only played 4 years and has a better playoff record than Stafford.

Staffords time in Detroit is probably coming to an end. There were some rumblings his time there was over earlier this off-season. I think due to cap implications the team decided to hang onto him for another season.

Obviously I'm speculating, but I think 2020 is Staffords last year in Detroit. Matt is a Texas kid and I think the perfect solution for both sides is for Stafford to take over the qb job here in Dallas. This offensive line, these weapons, MM has to know him really well, I think the fit is really really good. This team is in win now mode and you are getting a super talented qb who has experience. What do you guys think?
I think Stafford and Rodgers will both be free next season. If Dak does not agree on a long term deal next offseason, the Cowboys can still get a top 15 quarterback. The issue is if Stafford blows it again in Detroit he will continue to have that loser stink on him. I just can’t get the 2014 playoff game against us of my mind. His butt tightened up in that game. They should have beaten us. In a dream world I would love to see his arm with our wide receivers and MM offense.

Prescott is it going anywhere. I wouldn’t take Rogers this season. Over Prescott. He’s a Hail Mary Media lover boy quarterback.

Rodgers and McCarthy do not have a good relationship, so he wouldn’t be a possibility. I doubt Rodgers will be leaving GB anyway.

Stafford has absolutely nothing around him. Comparing the two is not easy. Stafford w these weapons and MM, and you might have something special
Stafford had one of the greatest wide receivers in history for most of his career and did nothing with him.

Draft a young quarterback with a high draft pick, even if we have to pay to move up, That's the way most teams do it.

Matthew Stafford.....another player who has a "beautiful arm" but has done NOTHING in this league. What is the fascination of going after guys other teams don't want?

But he'd win it all with the super duper, greatest talent in the world offense in Dallas. They wouldn't even need a defense!
