None of them in my opinion really worth it . That doesn’t change the fact that Prescott is a winner. Never had a losing season. Even under the great Jason Garrett LOL
That's not real high praise, considering Jason Garrett only had one losing season as coach and that was with Weeden, Cassell, and Kellen Moore at QB. We need a higher standard.

Have you seen him play? He got a scholarship because of the family ties to the university, pro football? Hell, he won't play college football but he will be an employee where nepotism reigns supreme.
i'm surprised he didn't attend smu. part of the park cities circle of scholastic excellence.

Now hear me out. With Dak most likely playing on the franchise tag this year and next year. The grandson will be draft eligible after the 2021 season the same time it will be financially unfeasible to tag Dak a 3rd time. The timing lines up perfectly and Jerry and Stephen are idiots who have a history of letting Nepotism run wild in the organization.

They offered Dak $100 million guaranteed and wanted more years than he was willing to give them. If we completely ignore those facts then perhaps...

Like Mahomes, Brady, Brees, Romo, Dak, Staubach?

You missed your calling. You are definitely GM material. :muttley:

You clearly cant comprehend what I am saying. Teams end up with these guys usually outside of their own planning.

kc traded up for mahomes so had buffalo just taken him he would not be a chief. that was lucky that buffalo overlooked him.

same with dak, Dallas was lucky to not get lynch or cook, the pats were lucky the whole league passed on brady 5 times.

its luck or coincidence. Otherwise these guys would go right away in the first round.

Green bay was lucky sf chose smith over rodgers and then everyone else saw him as only as good as what they had.

that was my point. Brees was though so highly of they dumped him and he went to new orleans. The saints were lucky the dolphins ownership did not want to pay him because the head coach wanted him.

its all luck and timing.... otherwise every scout on every team should have been fired for passing on brady 5 times.

You basically said that focusing on scouting QB' is a waste of time and its simply about luck and having a top 5 pick.

I 100% cannot comprehend that ridiculous theory.

Hell, even if you have a top 5 pick you have to properly scout which guy you take.

Your theory has to be one of most laid back, worst theories on QB's I have ever heard.

no I am saying dedicating anymore time to feels counter productive. Of course you are going to scout all the qb's. There are usually not that many in each class.

My point is essentially this myth that taking qb's every year is the way to go because it worked in the early to mid 90s in green bay. Its just not a feasible plan for an organization to me. If there was a minor league system or something where they could play i could see it... In a world with two preseason games in the future these guys will never play.

Babe Laufenberg has banged this drum for what you are saying for over a decade...he is of the mindset that each team should have a department dedicated to just scouting and developing quarterbacks 100% of the time, draft a new one every year.

Taking a QB every year? You must be talking to another poster.

Stephen was trash. His son was at least was a 3 star recruit. played a few games as a redshirt freshman. jus sayin
He played on a horrible team. He was a decent hs QB and probably will get some playing time at AR but they're hardly the QB school of the SEC. They should break some rules, get the death penalty and put the fans out of their misery. They can't get the home games half full in a state with not a lot to do.

As a Razorback, I can say they are the most embarrassing college team in the conference and that includes KY and Vandy, two football powerhouses.

The kid will get some playing time to keep the Joneses money coming because the fan money sure as hell isn't.

He's the perfect match for them. He's not a college QB and they're not a college team.

If this is true then why were the Cowboys looking for a 5 year deal? Dak didn't get his deal because in the end the Cowboys didn't think Dak was worth what he was asking for

What if the structure and guaranteed money were bigger contributing factors and knew dak wouldn't take the deal. Just because a deal is offered doesn't mean they necessarily want the other party to accept it. Or expect them to accept it.

That could all be part of it too but the simple fact is the Cowboys were looking to sign a 5 year deal, that doesn't fit with them wanting to give the Job to Stephan's son after 2021

Not for a bad worst season ever. 5000 yards, 33 TD's, best deep throwing QB in the NFL.

Yup, him and Jameis are All World.........especially Dak having to play against the worst defenses the league had to offer

How his contract extension going?
