Honesty, JSJ was doing well to sit third on the depth chart coming out of 2019. They’ve since added one top 200 and landed another kid through the transfer portal from UF.

Jones is a RS-So competing against superior prospects in that room, some younger. The only chance he might have is with Pittman and Briles just getting there, they might open the competition.

A front office gig is where the sum of his NFL hopes lie.

Dallas has been hovering at 50% the last two years. One could argue that Zeke and the RG were problematic last year, but this year Zeke and Dallas were basically top 5.

The problem is the passing game.

Dak has thrown for 24 TDs outside the red zone since 2018, the second highest in the league.

Basically, Dak takes advantage of the man coverage on the outside that is a result of the runner by game. Teams basically dare Dak to beat them with their arm and are more than content with giving him the looks in the 20s even with all the speed on the outside.

Dak is really a product of Cooper and the looks he gets.

Your preaching to the choir. I basically posted this very same thing, provided the same information after the season.

I don't hate Dak, I actually like the dude. I just don't believe he's this all world QB that many believe. I think he's a good young QB who can win in the right situation.

Hmm...You might be on to something. His Gson will probably be the Cowboy’s owner someday and can afford to play for vet minimum...he just needs to be the bus driver...hopefully he can throw the ball 40 yds or so...
Win the Super Bowl and I will buy a ticket .

I'll agree after the same problem exists with different coaching and no Witten, pretty much every successful redzone passing game includes capable tight end play, the article even says this, again some here will spin it against Dak (not saying you) but its hard to see what any of these guys are capable of until you fix the head coach. There is no reason to not give Dak a season under Mike M, anyone who is saying that doesnt understand how much coaching matters... no matter how much they see the difference throughout the league

He'll need to make astounding headway to even become an exceptional college QB. I doubt he'll have a future in the NFL as a QB. It remains to be seen if he'll get something within his dad's and grandad's office, though. He's a Jones kid, so I suppose it's possible.
Agree, but talk a about a team friendly contract.
20 years, zero signing bonus, and league minimum throughout the term, no guaranteed money.
He could elevate his game enough during that tenure to lead the scout team at least.

Daddy prolly had connects in the WFL and CFL as well
Daddy didn't even have connections to Princeton.

Hell, we all know Garrett wasn't an top backup, but for the little he played in the NFL he played pretty well. He was mostly a 3rd string guy, and he was 6-3 in games he started, which isn't bad for a backup.

LOL, well, Jim Garrett was with the Cleveland Browns when Jason enrolled at Princeton. In fact, Jim Garrett had been away from New Jersey for over a decade when Jason entered Princeton, and then only a few years working for the Giants. Before Jason entered Princeton he had been away from New Jersey for all but 3 years since the late 1940's.

Besides, knowing "jersey football" doesn't mean a person knows everything that happens with every school or team in Jersey.

In addition, it appears Jason did well in football at Princeton, and I've seen nothing to suggest he struggled academically, so why is it so hard to believe Princeton actually wanted him to attend?

Now, if you have some actual evidence that suggests Jason only got into Princeton because of some connection his Dad had, feel free to show it and I will consider it and concede the point if warranted, but the simple fact Jim Garrett was originally from New Jersey doesn't qualify.
