what adjustment? smart one. Quinn is who he is, they had no replacement for him. everybody screams adjustments, you have to have players that can help you adjust.

If only Marinelli had gotten a DE he wanted in the first round 2 years prior to Quinn. Maybe things would have been different.

Okays that cool, I still disagree , but I follow what you're saying about the players. So that's cool!

the way I look at it, we both coach and we both know when we go back and review the film after a lost, you will find a player that either fill the blows an assignment or just gets blown up on 90 percent of the plays that don't work. Now, we fall on the sword and take the blame which is coaching etiquette but we what goes wrong.

Marinelli is a con artist. Its amazing he keeps scamming his way into a new gig.

I figured out his con a few years back.

He's hates premiere talent because premiere talent means he's expected to perform at a certain standard.

So he likes to coach up the Nick Hayden and George Selvie's fo the world because it makes him look far better at his job than he was.

If my memory serves me correct it wasn't long but at one point he had Spencer, Ratliff, Ware and Hatcher.

He was not a good DC and I'm questioning if he even was a good defensive line coach. Maybe 20 years ago.........

false, they were picks of the organization, Hill"s been here 1 year. Taco had attitude issues, was ranked as late 1st rounder by most scouts. the issue lays with the Cowboys defensive philosophy that started long before Marinelli, they never allocated resources to the defense for the most part, it was the offense they put they're eggs in, also, Stephen with his tight negotiations never perused big FA that can help on defense.
TJ Watt was the obvious pick over Taco Charlton’s lazy scUM ***.

Truth. Too many fans think football is Madden and the coaches are holding the controllers.

Precisely. There is a reason he would get pumped drafting underachievers. Keep the expectations low and when they give more effort, he comes off as some master of motivation.

The old man was exposed when they actually took his input when they did make the effort to invest in the defensive line. They solicited the input of the 'whisperer' and went with what he gave them, with clearly disastrous results. That's how they ended up with huge voids at defensive tackle and defensive end, because Rod's guys failed as miserably as possible.

The team managed to fill the void at defensive tackle through free agency, but the Cowboys are still struggling to fill the obvious hole at RDE.

You know who really deserves an apology?

Brentson Buckner, who was fired by the Raiders after doing a far better job than Rod Marinelli has done for years.

Just heard on 105 3 the fan RJ choppy quote a stat that said the Cowboys pass rush win rate what's 53% which ranked number one in the league. For those who adore Analytics and stats, by this Marinelli may be owed an apology.

Things like this convince me an analytic can be derived to support any agenda.

My personal analytic is that the season was over before Santa showed up.

That's no bueno no matter how you size it up.

Yep! And I'll admit he duped me to for awhile. But then I sat back and looked at all of these 3rd, 4th and 5th round guys who just come and go here. And in the case of Hill and Charlston? 1st and 2nd round picks....He's vying for guys and they weren't developing.

For the life of me I didn't understand why he would run away from highly touted linemen. There would be guys who would fall to us who would have 1st round grades.....and then the reports come out "Oh he doesn't fit in Maranelli's system....".

Hard to understand ANYONE that may think Granny Marinelli is owed ANYTHING,especially an apology. MY GAWD. He owes the fans one though. He was MIA the last 3 years. Kept doing the same damn thing over and over and expecting a better result. Seems like a thing around here for the last 12 years. MM should change all this if Jerry and Stevie stay out the way. We now have the staff to make a discernable culture change. We even changed out the trainers to a large degree. Its a clean slate. Now if we can play a large part of the season without it being shutdown, I think we have a shot at making some noise in December. Its SB or bust for Dak. HE and his agent painted themselves into this corner. Moral of the story, don't piss off the guy cuttin the checks and owns the team. Its go time for Dak. ALL EXCUSES ARE NOW NULL AND VOID. This season will define 2021 for him.My hunch is he will not do well in crunch time. HOPING I AM WRONG.
