Coaching could make the offense and him look better but he is limited with his own natural ability.
Where he could actually take a step forward with his natural ability is if he would move more instead of trying to be Troy Aikman all the time.
My hope is we can get Stafford on a discount next year. I think he's a better player that will be cheaper and would excel on this team.
Stafford is a very good quarterback, I'll certainly agree to that.
But if he's markedly better than Dak, then despite being on poor teams overall he should have led his team to at least ONE playoff win. But he's 0-3 in the playoffs and has lost 10 more games than he's won.
He might be better here, but it's too much of an unknown at this point.
It's always the same, a Dallas quarterback doesn't win SBs in a year or two or four, then "he's not good enough". We got spoiled, and lucky, with Roger and Troy. But just ask Cleveland, since 2007 they've drafted one quarterback no. 1 and 3 at number 22 overall, and look where they've been since 2007. Now those are draft choices, not established players, but the point is dumping one quarterback for another isn't a sure thing.
Just don't agree getting Stafford or any other likely available veteran is a good strategy..
