I can't wait to see the responses from the know-it-all dunces who said that 'nobody was interested'.

You know, when nobody was actually in their facilities...

What's the excuse now fellas?
I think what people were saying is nobody was interested at the money he wants. Dallas had to let him go when you factor in the money he was getting paid vs performance. He just wasnt worth it. At this point in his career he would be lucky to be a #2 WR. But hey there are a lot of people who will kick the tires on a worn out car.

I don't know what Dez has left in the tank. But if he can be close to what he was before his last injury, he's going to make some noise as a number 2 or 3 WR.

Teams locked him down with their best defensive backs. He used to embarrass all others.

Nope, nobody was saying anything at all about the money, or the pecking order of where he'd rank on the depth chart. They were crowing that he was "done" because he wasn't getting any workouts - when no teams had people in their buildings.

They were told that fact at that time too, and willfully ignored it.

Well his prime is done, that's for sure. Now he's a jag; one step away from being a camp body.

You're probably right, but I hoped the Cowboys would at least take a look. But it seems that McCarthy wants as much of a break from the past as he can, and I'll go along with what he decides on this one.
Assuming Dez has stayed in shape, would be a great 4th receiver in terms of talent, but I don't know that the Cowboys could stand that kind of ego and personality as a 4th receiver, nor do I know if Dez could stand it.

Who has given him a tryout at this point? Is this all just BS because I don't see any team claiming him.

I don't see or hear "ego" at this point. Quite the contrary, I hear humility and contrition, and a guy genuinely just looking for an opportunity to find a fit and contribute however he can. Regarding the Cowboys, he said that he would play for the vet minimum. And by doing that, he would be agreeing to a one strike and you're gone situation, meaning that he knows that if he acts up even the slightest way, he's done.

To be honest, while I got passionate and at times a hothead and overly emotional, I never thought "ego" when it came to Dez Bryant.

Same..

Even if Dez is diminished i'd be shocked if he still isn't a beast in the Redzone.

He's a GOAT at the 1 v 1 jump ball near the goal line.

That's what I picture him doing here. As much as I appreciate Cooper's game, red zone isn't his strong suit.

And people can say whatever they want about the reasons, but this team's red zone offensive efficiency has dropped considerably since they let go of Dez Bryant. That's a fact.

I’d love to see dez get another chance somewhere...will always be one of the most passionate cowboys and we were lucky to have him in his prime

Dez for awhile was as good as anyone ever at hitting pay dirt.
