Here's the thing guys. What his Value? What is he gonna do for this team? And can he be a rotational player?

Once those are talked about, what will it cost and what will he take?
5m per is fair. But he doesn't want that. He wants always more. He had his chance with Dallas he chose Baltimore money over what he really wanted supposedly...

But again you gotta understand what will he do to this team overall. What can he bring and will he be good for us or bad?

saying that above.
5M a year is fair. If he would accept that that would be great.
The you go to ok 1 year prove it for more Cash????
Or
2 to 3 yr 5m per with team options on the final two years and a clause for a 4th and 5th year if he fulfills the 2 to 3 yr deal with a pay increase and a no ytade clause.

You can work the magic in the contract like the Cowboys do and make sure you protect yourselves.

Stephen Jones on the fan right now. He had this to say on Earl Thomas.

"just as we didnt talk about everson until it was done we have found that works better for us and we won't talk about anything we are in the works on"
"when we evaluate a player we look at the whole body of work" "We knew there were risks with McCoy"

Interesting. They might not have talked about Everson, but it was done. So we could take that to mean they are in on Thomas just not going to talk about it. Also bringing up the risks with McCoy shows again that they are not averse to risks.

I would think that if the player was absolutely not under consideration, he would have said that.

"In the works on" is an interesting choice of words.

A lot of teams arent gonna take the chance on blowing up their locker room or salary cap for a guy on the downside of his career.

However all it takes is one, and it wouldnt at all surprise me if it happens. I just dont want to be that team.

And the only way to get him right now is to be that team. He will wait for his money before he plays cheap.

You have lots of recaps from radio shows and such. Thank you for that, it is much appreciated :starspin:

Interesting article about the Ravens Leadership Council being unanimous that the team should move on from Thomas. He never tried to fit in was the most disliked player, by far, in the locker room.

Couple that with his bizarre behavior in SEA and is this guy worth the risk? It's not about the money, it's about introducing him to a team with a new coaching staff that is getting nothing but positive vibes about their effect on the team.

The fact that BAL is just willing to let him walk to get him out of the organization should be a red flag to any other team.

The more I read about Thomas's time with the Ravens, the more I don't want him on the Cowboys
