YPG yes, PPG 11th, hard to believe but true.
Yeah but PPG doesn't mean you have a 11th ranked defense. So if a team gives up 25 points a game but leads the league in turnovers....the Cowboys would have the better defense even though they are last in turnovers?

The throw that Jimmy G missed at the end of the Superbowl is just the sort of throw Dak would also miss.

I didn't mention a starting job. He could have been offered a similar role to Tannehill elsewhere and who knows that may turn out to be the case here. Mariota = Prescott
Dak is one of the most accurate deep ball throwers in the game right now. Think he was top 3 last year definitely top 5

That's your opinion. You and the .02 percent of you in the country that believes Mariotta and Prescott are of the same caliber..........you are all over the place.

My point is that for receivers like Cobb and Cooper having Elliott and generally the Cowboys' running game made it easier for them to ball out. You flat out gave the credit to Prescott but in reality we have had one of the strongest running games in the league that marks a lot of respect which in tern opens up games for receivers. In Green Bay opposing teams only had to worry about a fat Lacy or gadget man Starks and at the Raiders teams faced a Marshawn Lynch on his way to the old people's home meaning the receivers will have likely faced a lot of more coverage than at the Cowboys.

Where is the proof of this? And you keep talking about James Starks and Lacy but when Lacy entered this league he was very good fat or not. You must be thinking about Seahawks Eddy Lacy....

Payton and Jimmy G have been to a conference championship and superbowl. Romo couldn't get out the divisional round even when he had the number 1 seed and home field advantage not to include 13 probowlers on the team that went the same year.......

First off this was about QB's who also played at Eastern Illinois so please list all of the conference championships and Super Bowls Payton was a QB in not coach? Next as I said a QB that was undrafted has slim odds of making a team let alone becoming a starting QB So based on where he started and where he got to, I'll take Romo. You are just like others that want to equate a teams record on ONLY the QB forgetting it is a team sport. How quickly you want to pin all of the 49ers success on the QB and give zero credit to the rest of the team. Like I've said many time before for people like you instead of listing team win/loss records by the team name or city they should list them under the QB name because you think it's all and only the QB for all the wins and losses.

Actually 19th in dvoa which is more accurate. And if you go by defense per drive they are below average across the board. Dont you gotta go tape body parts onto your players?

So you’re saying rating a QB by a simple team ranking is disingenuous? Thank you for the clarification

Dak needs a consistent running game, just as Aikman needed Emmitt. Zeke struggled vs good teams, thus the 8-8.

Zeke definitely brings them where they want to go, can’t dispute that. You get 1800 yards out of zeke and the sky is the limit

Compared to other teams they were 11th in PPG so they are the 11th ranked D and they are the 9th ranked in YPG. I believe they were around 27th in turn overs. D needs improvement but 9-11th in important categories wasn't as bad as some try to make out.

I'd rather put my faith in a rookie over either at this point, but at least Garoppolo showed up during big games, Dak disappears.

Dak's career record against winning teams is amoung the best in the nfl believe it or not. Last year the entire team and coaching staff was helter skelter and for you to throw out ignoramus comments that he can't beat good teams based on a few games last season, shows you're getting drunk on hater sauce bro. thanks for making me and many others feel smart.

Especially since Garrop was not very good in the playoffs.

I wouldn’t give either one elite money for mediocre play. 2nd to 3rd tier players.

Actually the current crop of quarterbacks are underwhelming. With the exception of Mahomes, we now have a combination of younger QBs that are overhyped and some veterans on the downside of their careers

Let there be no mistake that this is not like the Qb class of 1983, and in fact far from it. Mahomes has generational talent and is the lone exception
If the QB class of 1983 is the standard, all QB classes will be subpar in your eyes. That's like saying a QB can't be considered very good because he doesn't measure up to Tom Brady or Peyton Manning. Those kind of players, and the 1983 QB class, are rare exceptions, not the standard.

So wait...you believe the being 9th in ypg is more important than getting turnovers?

And the defense let Sam Darnold and Mitch Tribusky throw all over them. They sucked last season regardless of points allowed.

When I ask them to bring up points and yards per drive they get real quiet.

Same could be said about that #2 and 6 offense so your argument is what?? Turn overs matter but its not like the D was as bad as you want to make them. If the D sucked the O sucked just as bad.
