Was Dak the one dropping passes? Was Dak the one calling the terrible situational calls by going for it on 4th down inside the opponent's 20, instead of simply kicking the FG? Was it Dak's fault his Oline struggled to block Aaron Donald or give him time to find receivers running deep?

Doped passes happen to all QBS. I liked the call to go for it but I would have put the ball in Zekes hands he is the true play maker in this offense. ALL
Not if the defense actually shows up

Do some research. How many games in the last ten years were won with a total of 17 points. Good luck.

Thought he played well. Both offenses seemed electric up and down the field then would stall out in the redzone.
It wasn't Dak's fault we ran the ball on 3rd and 6, which is ridiculous. Then went for it instead of kicking a game tying
FG, in the 4th quarter.. mind you.

Gallup caught the ball, no penalty, burned ramsey on top of that! Overall pretty good game from Dak.
He does need to release the ball faster as everyone has noted for years. I thought he had good touch and
accuracy and Dallas will bounce back if we can convert in the red zone.

Stay optimistic. =)

Obviously you need talent to win in this league. I think people are arguing that dak has elite players around him at many offensive positions and still seems like a bus driver. Russel wilson was brought up.

Aaron rodgers never had a running game till aaron jones. Andrew luck played in 15 playoff games despite having a horrific oline. Cam Newton went to a SB and didn't have elite talent every position. Lamar Jackson doesn't have elite talent at every position. Jared Goff and Matt Ryan have talent around them, but they can at least say they went to a SB with it.

Dak has elite level talent at every single position around him except for TE. He also doesn't have the incompetence of Garret anymore to blame.

I'm not giving up on dak at all. I'm just saying. Even a 9-7 year and a division round exit isn't acceptable anymore. The expectation is much higher.

Admit it, you can't name those guys who doesn't need those things. Mahomes, Brees, and Brady have had that or currently has that. Dak isn't asking for Mahomes, Rodgers, or Brees money. When he signs, it will take about 36M per to get it down with about 100M of that guaranteed. Jerry and Stephen will finally give him a four year deal. They made the mistake of not signing him in the last year of his deal. They made the mistake in signing Zeke to an extension early. Bottom line is we can win a SB with Dak but he can't do it alone. NO QB IN THE LEAGUE CAN. That is my point. It takes a team to go all the one, not one individual.

You are mistaken if you think Jerry will sign Dak to that deal. Andy Dalton was brought to Dallas for a reason. The Cowboys are moving on from Dak after this season if he doesnt win a playoff game this year. Andy Dalton with the players they will be able to afford to place around him is greater than Dak prescott.

Yall saying how Dak needs a good oline and skill position players? What good QB in this league doesn't have that and still wins games? I'll wait.

Andy Daltons contract will be much lower than a Dak prescott contract. They will be able to pay more surrounding cast for him. Andy Dalton was brought to Dallas for a reason.

Looney at center, an undrafted rookie free agent at right tackle and Conner Williams against Donald is a bad match for Dallas. There should have been a lot of Zeke in the flat throws in the game plan and a couple of screens as well.

agreed bad game plan short underneath passes to Zeke and pollard and screen should have factored more into the game plan.

This the the qb position people. When you lose you take the blame, when you win you get the credit. Eli manning is a hall of famer not cause of a regular season, because he won big games.

Anything less than a deep playoff run for this team is inexcusable. Forget stat piling against bad teams. I want wins, meaningful games. Especially from a guy that wants top 3 money.

Is is not unreasonable to expect more from this guy? Either he gets it done this year or we move on.

Thats the plan we are moving on from Dak after this season if he doesnt win a playoff game. Andy Dalton plus the surrounding cast of players we will be able to afford is greater than Dak prescott.

I posted my opinions earlier in this thread but there is one more major concern I have.

When Dak was a rookie I remember his receivers complaining of not getting the ball when they were open and Dak answered they weren’t open enough. I accepted that as a rookie growing into the league and expected his “window” to be considered open would shrink as he got more experience. It seems that is not happening. He’s not throwing receivers open which could be the difference between the pay he deserves vs the pay he wants.

I thought our defense was far too conservative to get aggressive when the situation called for it. By the time they finally stepped it up, it was far too late to do so. When your defense is getting outplayed with regularity, there's little to lose by exerting bolder levels of play. Too bad we didn't see that sooner. By the time we finally started exerting pressure on Goff, the game was already getting out of reach. Let's face it -- "he who hesitates is lost."

have a few more beers a three point game isn't out of reach in any universe

Here’s a list of QBs I’d take over Dak:

Mohames
Jackson
Wilson
Brees
Rodgers
Brady
Murray
Burrow
Wentz
Garropollo
Then I have Watson and Dak in a tie.

yeah I’m not paying Dak Watson type money though. He either take Wentz money or he can kick rocks.

I hope Jerry doesn’t feel the pressure to re sign him with a sub par year. Some in the sports media love to throw out his stats when arguing he should get paid.these are the same people who will be the first to rip him when he gets paid and pays poorly.

Either way they rip us cause it’s the cowboys and it’s a story.

I thought we were smart not giving him a huge deal. He wants elite money lead us to at least an nfc title game.

Some of us have been saying this for years.

He is not a top 5 QB. He never will be. He is a 10-15 rank QB and that's mostly because he is good at protecting the ball and not giving up interceptions.

His accuracy is abysmal for an NFL QB.

Everything has to be perfect for him to win which is bull****. No other team has this level of talent.

Let him walk at end of the year and start giving Dalton some reps.

I worry that Dak has reached his limit at reading defenses. Maybe he can but just can’t translate it fast enough. The guy needs to use his legs whether it a rollout or designed run but he hasn’t been utilizing that for awhile now. This team needs better for that kind of $$$.
