Was Dak the one dropping passes? Was Dak the one calling the terrible situational calls by going for it on 4th down inside the opponent's 20, instead of simply kicking the FG? Was it Dak's fault his Oline struggled to block Aaron Donald or give him time to find receivers running deep?

blame shift. blame shift. blame shift. blame shift. Dak doesn't deserve all the blame, but his share. Stop being an apologist. I liked Romo, but could also accept when he was part of the problem and wouldn't shift the blame away from him after a loss.

Seems like last nights game was KY Jelly for the people who claim not to hate Dak.
Are people not allowed to point out that he deserves some of the blame without being labeled haters for it. What happened to the simple days of you lose you get blamed, unless it was obvious that you weren't the reason why. Dak didn't play good enough to say it was obvious that he doesn't deserve at least part of the blame.

lol, the typical sky is falling overreaction I have come to expect when the Cowboys lose their week 1 game. The only thing that truly went astray was the coaching.

It wasn't at Cooper's knees, so quit lying. It was at his waist. Still a catchable pass that many other WRs make. Plus, Cooper wasn't even looking for the pass coming his way.

XD link the pass again. On replay, from what I remember, that did not look like a 'catchable' pass. So now it was a good pass by dak that Cooper should've caught... blame shift to Coop, who is good at adjusting to catch balls that are off.

First off McCarthy lost this game. dumb dumb call to go for it in a close defensive second half when he can tie it!
Problem with Dak he is inconsistent! Looks good at times and other times cant get it going. He needs 3 downs to throw the ball because his chances of completing a 3rd down passing play are too hot cold. This is the same exact stuff I saw last year.
I do agree with this.

Regardless of anything else, whether people want to blame some players, the game should have gone to overtime. Maybe McCarthy would be better off just having those back massages than buying too much into analytics...

Tell you what, tell me what good qb in this league that wins and goes to the playoffs often, doesn't have a good OL, RB, and Receiving corp? Since we're only one game into the 2020 season, Dak only has one of those top five units that you named and that's at running back. He doesn't have a top five offensive line and we don't know that about his receiving unit yet. On paper, it looks good. Need t see more.

not having those was never a valid excuse when Tony was QB here, now why should it be for Dak? What is amusing is that some of the people who would allow those to be excuses for Romo are using those for excuses for Dak. XD

For those who are curious. Zeke had 99 yards in 22 carries and 31 yards receiving. Cant blame him for not getting things going.

I think McCarthy forgot he doesnt have Rodgers under center to bail him out.

IMO Watson is better than Dak, I don't think Dak is any better than Wentz, but he does manage to stay healthier than Wentz and that does count for something. Dak was offerred the Wentz and Goff deals and turned them down

I think Dak is in the same tier as Wentz and Goff. He's not top 5 like many on here were claiming this offseason. I just can't fathom a top 5 QB looking like that in this last game. last night, Goff looked like the better QB to mem but same tier all the same.

Packers fans were probably watching thinking...we wasted the best part of ten years with Aaron Rodgers at centre for a second hand car salesman

I will admit I didn't watch the game as I simply was not interested. That said, in watching the game recap on the NFL Network, one thing that stood out between Prescott and Goff was their respective release: Goff was simply much quicker at his release and decision making as too many times you saw Prescott holding on to the ball which led to the pocket collapsing around him.

The knock on Prescott has seemingly always been his slower release tied to his decision making and unfortunately last night it was on display yet again.

This is simply my observation but by all means let all those that blindly defend Prescott spew their hate replies.

No man. Feel free to stroke it. Last nights game took away Romo lover’s excuse for losing the 2014 GB game.. No longer is the 4th down play to Dez in which they thought was a bad call a valid excuse for him. I love When the hypocrisy is exposed.

where this entire rant failed is when you posted it assuming anyone is putting 100% of the blame on him. No one ever does that.

The problem some of us are having is the apologists are trying to tell us that Dak actually had a fine game and shifting his share of the blame to other players. Like that badly thrown pass that was commented on as being a badly thrown pass on TV, that's coops fault now according to the apologists... "It should have been caught" And we are talking about a guy who makes adjustments often to catch off passes. Now I guess he is supposed to catch them all the time...

Yet another mindless rant about this one, singular player on offense of 11 players on any given play, bares 100% of the responsibility and fault for points not scored. That any of the other 10 players who didn't preform their job on EVERY SINGLE play really had nothing to do with it. It's only that one singular player who's fault it is. Nobody is or will say that Prescott played a perfect game, but neither did the other 10 players. How about an injury depleted O-line that allowed Prescott to be pressured on just about every passing play or how bout when it was most needed a normally sure handed receiver doesn't hang onto the ball on a crucial 3rd down or another receiver who on that last drive pushes off to catch the ball at the rams 15 yard line that would have at the minimum would have guaranteed the game went into OT or they could have scored a winning TD. Prescott haters are always going to put 100% of the blame on Prescott but those that aren't haters see many other reasons why he isn't 100% to blame. This game at times the offense sucked and for most of the game the defense sucked especially the front 4 who didn't put much pressure on Goff with just a single sack all game and allowing the rams offense to hang on to the ball for 11 minutes longer than the Cowboys or only recording a single 3 and out or allowing the rams to convert 52% of their 3rd downs.

There was plenty of blame to go around.
.
.

The Rams negated much of the pass rush because Goff got the ball out very fast with short passes and screens. Also their 3 running back attack was working very well for the entire first half. We didn't convert enough first downs, and we allowed the Rams to convert too many third downs.

you only love it when it is against romo's favor. The hypocrisy by dak apologists, no mention. Is that hypocrisy itself?
