Yes there is, however, you dont give much in the way of Dak.

Ok, Terence Steele was pretty much outclassed and allowed pressure on Dak of virtually every play in the second half, but Dak if he's going to get $40m needs to overcome that.

If he's paid $40m he is isnt allowed excuses, as QB, its on him, the play maker. I dont see Mahomes blaming others, he seems to take the responsibility that comes with $40m.

Padding stats with short gains, lack of production in the RZ and all with the same OC, all puts the focus on Dak.

I look at it this way, new head coach, new coaching staff, new players, new schemes. You can have all the talent but you need time and real game experience to make it all work effectively. One game where we almost pulled off a comeback win if it weren't for that questionable pass interference penalty on Gallup, will not spell doom for this season.

agreed bad game plan short underneath passes to Zeke and pollard and screen should have factored more into the game plan.

The were other players running other routes on those plays, we can comment more on the when the All-22 comes out. Those passes were check downs for the most part, lets find out why Dak didn't like the other options.

There is a difference that people just dont want to see in Goff and Dak. You got it right too! Goff is much more accurate and can get rid of the ball quicker.

What I like is that someone who likes to bring up that they played the game, and likes to say the rest of us should be disqualified for opinions since we haven't, also made mention that Goff was the dink and dunk quarterback when people mentioned that Dak's dink and dunk got us in trouble. All that football IQ failed to mention that it was mentioned very early on in the game that, that was the Rams gameplan, since the cowboys were loaded at pass rush but thin in the secondary. That football IQ also looked over that the big play was needed for the cowboys when they got behind a few times, and the dink and dunk wasn't helping us catch up.

First off McCarthy lost this game. dumb dumb call to go for it in a close defensive second half when he can tie it!
Problem with Dak he is inconsistent! Looks good at times and other times cant get it going. He needs 3 downs to throw the ball because his chances of completing a 3rd down passing play are too hot cold. This is the same exact stuff I saw last year.

McCarthy's biggest mistake was thinking we actually score TD's in the RZ.

Agree on Dak's inconsistency. He's fine on planned drives where the field's spread out, but when it comes to: the RZ, pressure situations (where he needs accuracy) he just isnt the man (well not worth $40m).

That's not me, being in Dallas, we talk about the cowboys often at work after a game. I always kept silent after a loss when people would bring up things like Romo throwing too many interceptions or being fragile because were valid points. Like I already said in this thread, it was one game, too little to judge Dak on in this season. But the apologists doing their blame shifting, actually bring more attention to Daks faults by saying things like Coop should've caught a badly thrown ball by dak, when people who were watching the game thought that was a badly thrown ball by dak that would be very hard to catch, especially when they showed a replay that made it look even worse.

Like I already said in this thread, it was one game, too little to judge Dak on in this season. Same guy as last year. Dak is a very likable QB but he's not the kind of QB whose going to make the clutch play for the win at the end of games. He did not engineer a single 4th quarter comeback last year and again failed last night. Now I do think this team has bigger warts than Dak, but I don't know how you address any of them paying him as if he were an elite, HOF caliber QB. He is simply not.

Dak didn't drop the couple of passes you must think changed the game (do you think Dak throwing behind Cooper and at his knees (on 3rd down) was a good throw? just curious. Do you think even if we kicked the FG that only scoring 6 points in the 2nd half is good? Do you think you will win alot of football games if that happens? Do you think going 1-7 for 11 yards plus a sack on 3rd downs is good? Rams had 3 sacks in the game and 7 QB hits...big deal that will happen in most games to most teams. Russell Wilson was sacked 3 times today and hit 10 times by the Falcons today...he still managed to put 38 points on the board and win the game.

But instead, AC calls NC a liar and asks him to invest the time getting the game footage and posting it on here. The announcers commented as well that it wasn't a good throw by Dak during the game as well. It should be the one calling people liars that gets the proof that it wasn't since more than one person remembers the play.

In all actuality, the rational person would say, look we haven't had a preseason and this was the first game, you can't judge the team or any player on one game. But some people just don't like the propaganda machine going telling us that well Dak actually had a good game when he didn't.

Definitely a problem with the offense. Still way too many long developing routes when the offensive line is getting taken to task. I thought MM would be an innovator and would make adjustments in game, but all he seemed to do was stand there motionless. He's a conman.
