It's kind of crazy that people here just seem unhappy all the time!
Why torture yourselves?
If I was unhappy all the time following something, I'd find something else to do.

Maybe they like it, like some weird fetish. Punish me daddy Cowboys!
More power to them, I guess. I'm not someone to stop anybody from doing anything.
It's difficult to understand though.
I am in a win/win situation. If the team wins, my team wins. If they lose, I get to see his sad face.

When I was at the height of my Cowboys fandom, I liked the players a lot better than these. Of course, I didn't know so much back then as social media didn't exist and the naughty boys kept their exploits quiet unless it was Rentzel or Septien.

If they win or lose, it doesn't affect me even while it is happening. I don't cuss or fist pump and I do miss that level of passion but it just doesn't matter anymore. I watched that game dispassionately on Sunday. I find other things to cuss about and there's no shortage of that these days.

I have discovered part of the reason and maybe some here may share it. I cannot engage and if I do, I cannot stay engaged with all of the stops. The number of commercials and repetitiveness makes me nuts. Do they think we're so dense we can't remember the commercial they just showed us less than 10 minutes ago? Or the dozen other times it's been played with the games that day? But then again, how many stupid people select their insurance because some jock is getting paid to do the spots? I can't sit and watch a game, I have to be doing something else as well and a lot of the time, the game is the background.

I dunno Corso, maybe it's age but I've retained passion for the other things in life but not football but then I can enjoy those things uninterrupted. A televised game is the same amount of action as it was when I first started watching, only it takes 30-45 minutes longer to watch one now.

I don’t rest anyone who is able to play. But I don’t do that for any game that is meaningful. Only end of the season when the game doesn’t matter.

I don’t expect the cowboys to get blown out. I don’t expect them to win. But I expect them to be competitive.

I agree that the division is weak. 9-7 prolly safely win it. 8-8 May win it. So it’s certainly not in “must win” category.

my biggest thing is I want to see them continue to improve with the new coaching staff ya know. Like if they play a tough competitive game vs a very good team like Seattle. But ultimately fall short and lose. I think I’ll feel overall ok about it.

Man i would not even watch a cowboy game if i did not think they will win...and i have not missed a cowboy game in almost 50 years...Cowboys will win and put that in 3 inch letters..good ol Jimmy Johnson

So you have become comfortably numb. I like Pink Floyd.

Our season isn’t on life support after Falcons epic collapse last week saved us from the season killer 0-3 scenario.

NFC East is worst division in the league. 7 or 8 wins might be enough. We have several winnable games coming up in October. 1-2 might still lead the division.

A game we aren’t expected to win. Might even get blown out. Biggest concern is more injuries which could compromise easier upcoming schedule in Oct. I’d rest anyone with a lingering injury like Smith and Lawrence.
I dont really get the title

I've watched quite a few Cowboys games that I did not think they were going to win. Hell, I paid to do that!

I get the ones that are expecting a win and they lose, they get pissed and I get that. But the ones that pick them to lose and they do just that, some of those still get pissed at them. They can't be happy being right.

Sometimes less is more. Especially as it pertains to players.

If Jimmy were HC of this team, I think he would disagree.
I see your point with lesser teams coming up, but some of those might beat them, you cant just count those as easy
wins until you make it happen.
Also beating seattle builds confidence , and makes other teams fear us a little.

What is this winnable games garbage? Have you not seen the Cowboys over the last 17yrs? A winnable game is usually a game they struggle to win or embarrassingly lose.

I’m not saying the cowboys won’t win. I think the cowboys can win. I think odds are likelier the Seahawks will. Just being honest. But I wouldn’t be surprised at all if the cowboys do. I put it at like 60-40

All I’m saying is. If the cowboys lose a tough game against one of the better teams in the league, on the road. During week 3.

it doesn’t mean the team cant reach the ultimate goal.

I'm guilty of not reading all 6 pages. The 1st one was enough.

If we are to believe Dallas is a contender in the NFC, this game
will likely have meaning as a tie-breaker in a new playoff seeding system.

I think some of y’all are happier with a loss than a win. It’s depressing.
This. Seriously, I'd hate to be around people who are this negative and whiny about something they have zero control over. It's supposed to be for entertainment.

Dak--i hear ya...for me if it is 60-40 and Dallas is 40....good enough for me...i take those odds and hope for a good roll...maybe a strip sack fumble recovery?....maybe an INT...maybe a fumble?...i am hoping our defense comes out

with chip on their shoulder....maybe Nolan has a good game plan to contain Wilson..i remember that was one big reason we beat em in 2014 up there with 12th man screaming
