The Jones boys arent about to do ****. We like the bums we have, this probably has nothing to do with any intervention by the Cowboys.

I just dont see it with this team and this d coordinator. If he freelanced with a decorated defense/culture like Baltimore what the hell do you think he'll do with Mike Nolan? We dont have the structure to get the best out of Earl Thomas. It would be a waste of time.
Thomas is not the first safety in Baltimore to get called out for freelancing. Reed was notorious for it. All those great plays on sports center, they never showed where he was freelancing and his team mate got toasted. That was the main reason the Ravens let him go he no longer had the range to freelance but he kept doing it.

When Reed was still in Baltimore their sports talk mentioned it Reeds last couple of seasons. The coaches were frustrated that Ed would freelance and make his defensive backfield look bad.

Reed started every game for the Ravens this season and finished with four interceptions. He was one of two defensive players (Cary Williams was the other) to play in every game, even though he was dealing with a partially torn labrum in his right shoulder. However, Reed was not the playmaker that he had been for most of his career, and his tackling and freelancing hurt the Ravens at times. Reed uncharacteristically admitted that he had lost a step in a candid interview with reporters before the regular-season finale against the Cincinnati Bengals.

I'd rather make mistakes with Earl freelancing instead of our safeties just clueless as to who to guard.

Earl Thomas is awesome and still young for a safety.

The issue is he has somewhere along the way evolved into a bad teammate.

Something needs to be done. It just seems the wrong guy is covering the wrong person a safety on Lockett or D-Law in coverage. It almost seems like Nolan wants to get fired....

It would be nice to see what he would’ve done. We know what these bums can do, get them some more bodies on low risk contracts.
