Right. All those championships in the 50’s and 60’s. The original Cardiac team with Sipe in the 70’s, Kosars heartbreaking championship losses against Elway in the 80’s.

Much like Cowboy fans will be in another decade looking back 35- 40 years the last time we had success. Lol

And people talking about being too negative, on the reverse, I can see people saying this team is going to the superbowl at every preseason and then blaming the defense or some other scapegoat during the season for the next decade.

Will there be any changes? Or will Jerry and company continue to bury their heads in the sand and continue on with the “we like our guys” mantra?

Typically in a bad year there is one game where its obvious the Cowboys aren't a true contender. That was the New Orleans game last year. This year it was the Rams game.

Then there is always that game where its obvious the team has real problems. Last year, that was the Jets game. If we lose to the Browns tomorrow, that will be the game this year.

If the Cowboys lose there’s going to be a mutiny on the board. Even though the Browns have a winning record and some talented players it’s going to take a championship for them to escape their loserville reputation.

No changes.
Its difficult to change personnel and Jerry loves to hold on to the infirm, the thuggish and the Living on Reputation players. For years.

Rest assured, even if we win there will be a ton of negativity. We wouldn’t have won by enough points or if we did it was just against the Browns. This is a no-win game for the Cowboys in terms of fans perceptions.

I’ll put this sorry-*** franchise that I became a fan of at 7 yrs old when Clint Longley led it back against the Commanders in ‘74 in my rear view mirror and not only not look back but will root against in future games against all other teams. My fanship hinges on this game. Let’s see how much the Jones’ and Cowboys care.

Win or lose, I want to see progress. We are still playing with a depleted Roster. The players in the secondary are not NFL quality starters, but I expect to see Nolan and the defensive staff at least have guys knowing the damn coverages and not allowing receivers to run wide open.

I’ll also add that every team in the NFC East has a new coaching staff this year except the Eagles....they just suck when continuity should be allowing them a faster start.

The way to fix that is win consistently or win while dominating. People have a right to criticize if we win games because the other team did something unimaginably stupid to lose, or holes in the team or obvious for everyone to see.

What changes can be made? It would be 4 games in. Not having a normal preseason with a new coaching staff is a real hurdle.

That said, Nolan will not be on the staff next season.

they can fire Nolan and promote Edwards.

anytime.

If anything, it’s an improvement.

no lol but i do wish george edwards was in charge of the defense instead of mike nolan...maybe!

the coach ing staff needs time and the good thing is the nfc east gives them that time and brething room! so hopefully they can get it together!!!!!

I don't like our chances with McCarthy either way.
Yeah I agree, we look suspiciously like we did last year on offense. Efficient until we cross the 50 yard line then we lose our edge. The defense still sucks. If we could get some semblance of pressure up the middle, our DE will both look like gangbusters which will make our CB look better and make our safeties look...uhhhh skip it, our safeties are just zombies I fear they are just walking dead out there.

It’s not so simple changing in the middle of the season
You aren’t changing the staff you just hired
Not many players you can change with all the injuries
About the only change you could make is change play callers on the number 1 offense
