The media criticism the last 72 hours has been vicious

I can't recall the last time this franchise was criticized to this extent. It's not just the media, the fans are eviscerating these players. Search Jaylon and D-Law's twitter mentions, it's ugly. Doesn't this feel different?

The coaches need to be playing all these videos in there locker room at all times. If they can't show pride and correct it then perhaps those players need to go, then get some hungry guys in here that want to play football

Man, idk. It might be amped up a little more than usual but it seems to be par for the course when we struggle. The media loves to blast Jerry Jones in the nut sack whenever they get the chance. They love the schadenfreude. It’s the silver lining to all of this criticism for me because I know it drives that egocentric ******* nuts. At the same time he thrives on the attention, obviously he’d prefer it be positive, and this is part of the problem with having a prima donna front and center of the franchise.

I'm sure there's TVs all around the Star. They should be played on an endless loop on all of them, so players, coaches, and anyone else who works there can't escape the criticism no matter where they go.

The closest we ever got to not being the Dallas Cowboys was the Parcells era. That entire time felt different. We had no talent yet we were winning games. The players were disciplined and didn't get treated like they were the greatest. Every single football player on those teams was an equal to there peers. If you didn't do your job, you weren't playing. It was majestic. If Parcells was watching the film of Jaylon Smith in the film room with him from Sunday...wooof.

Kind of started toward the end of last year when Jerry flipped out on the Fan. Media has been a little more critical.
I don't recall Garrett's teams getting their manhood called out like this. If anything they were always given credit for playing hard with the exception of two or three games. The criticism always was about the lack of strategy from the coaches.

Like I said this feels different...

This franchise is about everything EXCEPT football.

Such an embarrassment to the once great legacy.

Jerry knows it now. You can see the defeat in his face and hear it in his voice, and he you could hear his disgust yesterday when he virtually dismissed all of Dak's meaningless stats publicly.

He knows he's got a dysfunctional mess on his hands.

Aside from the first few years under Johnson, yeah Parcells was the apex. Football teams need discipline like a fish needs water. It is brutal on the field and a good coach gets his players ready for that mentally and physically week to week.

All publicity is good publicity to Jerry. I agree with you on that point. But I bet you McCarthy is a little shocked how fierce the criticism has been this early in his stint in Dallas.

There is a storm on the horizon with some of these contracts. It's not being discussed enough but we're about to be in some financial trouble here soon. I know Jerry knows this and it's probably affected his optimism.

I’ve never, as a fan, sat down and ironed out the nuances and specifics of cap math. It’s just not an interest for me so I rely on other more knowledgeable board members for this. What does this storm entail exactly? You mean we might not be able to resign Dak?
