if you were Jerry or Stephen, this IDEA or FEELING and YOUR plan would have merit, Thank Goodness it DOES NOT...

your post is absolutely meaningless. Madden and FF mean nothing, absolutely nothing put down the controller because your insight is hollow..

Optimism in here not much including this one..so ill be the one to shut it down...

i hope you realize you are fan sitting somewhere in the internet making wholesale decsions for a NFL professional football team that has im betting about 100+ employees that have specific jobs to help them decide whats best for the team.you on that staff by chance? your last name Jones?

keep your feelings in check and the fact that you can tell the future is fantastic, im betting its not true because you would have earned a 100billion by now and bought your own team and make you own decsions..whats the name of your franchise? was it the defunct AFL XFL perhaps they also thought they could be better then the NFL, and also failed..

wait did you score 4tds in a HS football game, you Al Bundy? now you know everything?

so put your pants on wash your face with ice cold water and realize you are just a fan , you know nothing about whats best for this organization, stay in your lane..

another internet clown GM , your name Nostradamus? I believe we have about 100 fans in here that believe they run a professional Organization or could do it better..lmao

hope this splash of reality helps you get to your cubicle and get back to YOUR actual job..
Your criticism of his post might be valid if the Cowboys’ play reflected 100 people’s effort to excell. As it stands , any average Joe with a draft guide could run this team and win the same amount of Super Bowls that Jerry has won in the last couple of decades.

he maynot be beter then Dak but the gaps not that large and we get to see that over 11 games and revisit the deabte..

i can tell you this AD is better then any qb Washington is running out, better then NYG Jones, and im betting an argument can be made wentz vs dalton..

hes backup that was a starter, doesnt mean he can succeed..

not happy daks hurt by any means but this finally will settle a lot of debates on dak if AD has any sucess looks very clos eto a Dak, well a lot of eyes will open on the pay dak vs dont pay dak debaters..

we have 11 full games to compare and for me not looking for 400yard games those arent a true measure of qb its Wins, and keeping Tos to nearly zero and simply doing whatever's needed to succeed. Its game to game things

this is blessing in disguise for one reason Kellen Moore will be forced to call tighter game as he will have less confidence in AD especially not being as mobile and not sling it around 50times a game which was NOT working..

i want to see more zeke, pollard and run game designed with using Lamb and creativity to move the ball on the ground..this will help TOP which will hep the defense..
The problem with your reasoning is that Dalton has already equaled Dak’s number of game winning drives and he could play horrible and still equal the number of wins that Dak has for the year. This team stinks, so any success Dalton has will likely be overshadowed by the suckage from the rest of the team unless he puts up great stats which Dak supporters cling to instead of wins.

LOL I know. I'm just joking around.

I know, that thread actually wasn't bad. I thought two of the main keys were the defense starting to get and the OTs playing average ball, then both of those happened. I thought I would get a lot more trolling in that thread than actually happened.

You know what's screwed up though? Even if our D starts to play better we lost our two starting tackles. Dalton is going to be under attack! You can't make this crap up, we have too many injuries. But I'm hoping for the best.

We can win by running Zeke and keeping that D on the sideline.

the defense stinks.

Teams will go 8 man fronts to counter Zeke.

AndyDalton probably fails after that.

We’ll continue to beat the sub .500 teams, maybe an occasional win against a winning team, homers will get excited and we’ll be dispatched in the 1st or 2nd round of the playoffs.

We’ll then have a low draft pick and another off season full of hype only to get the same results next year.

Rinse and repeat.
This is actually one of my concerns too. I feel we will still win the Division, but I'm not sure that's necessarily a good thing for us at this point. This is clearly not a Championship-caliber team, so us prevailing over a bad Division only pushes us further down the draft-pick ladder. Of course you always play to win, but would I be terribly upset if we fell short of the Division and it landed us a better draft position? Imagine if the draft difference between 7-9 (Division champs, eliminated 1st round) and 6-10 (no playoffs) is the difference between choosing 21st and 8th.

this is why fans are clowns, you think you could do a better job and are ignorant for thinking as much..

you think Jerry and jerry alone is sitting up on some pedestals' making these draft picks and all the decsions?

you are solely mistaken, Like all Teams the DC FO relies on a large scouting department that scout year round, will Mclay, the current coaching staff and yes the jones are part of the decsions but they have many voices guiding them and a Pro Team is run lime corporation regardless if it a family who has primary ownership.. there are many employees within this origination that have strong input on all decsions..

I dont look back 30 years you grade teams much like college 4-5 years at time so many players and coaches etc change over time its never the same even if it feels like it and the last 5-10 years you can see the difference in the decsions within the organization..

yes the campo years that 4-5 year period post jimmy shock jerry ran around like he had PTSD a rudderless boat were bad real bad..this is not those years.. it was horrible

i see what you tried to do but yes in some ways how can he fail he took over a 1-3 team so how much worse can he look outside of stats?

But no he has far more games to have chances to win in, ie dak played in 4.5 and Dalton will play oin 11.5

much simpler and i see the team improving some getting players back, gelling, etc i heard someone say the opponents will get easier as well.. many division games etc

Hopefully Knight and Steele can give them an average level of play. You read that they started Steele when he was a liability because they thought he would improve steadily and it seems he has.

Also Erving has had stretches of playing like an average starter, if he came back to be average I would be thrilled.

This isn't the Giants who had a great defense, and got healthy in the stretch. This is the Cowboys. I hate to ruin the optimistic crowd here, but there's no Superbowl in this teams near future.

So now, what? What do we need to head in the right direction? Trades, off-season acquirement, cuts, and the like. What are your expectations moving forward, or are you still full of Jerry hype, and believe that we can still pull it off? Discuss.
We’re just getting started. I’m not Andy Dalton fan but the preseason headaches are over.

I believe the season was going down the tubes until Dak got injured. With Dalton stepping in, I do have curiosity about the next few games and how Dalton perform. The Jones family likes their players a lot, so I don’t expect that they will make any trades that would upgrade the team. The Jones think that they are just one or two players that needs to be added to the team to reach the Super Bowl. It is hard to get me excited after seeing how this will play out.
He throws such a lazy football get ready for interception City

no one asking for high hopes and stupid expectations but the season over attitude's are ridiculous..
Not really. I mean sure, we'll play on. What are you seeing other than offensively that gives you any guise that we have a team worth getting excited about? Players get hurt. We have to draft, and spend better. Otherwise our excitement is "wE aRe StIlL iN fIrSt PlAcE" while being an absolutely laughable football team.

You must not have known Andy Dalton actually made the pro bowl....and if you couldn't tell how much more accurate he was than Dak...from last Sunday....hitting people in stride...then I guess that's on you for not knowing the difference.
Hah I actually watch other teams so yeah i knew about that. Dak also has made a pro bowl, so that point is moot.

He was also nearly picked one time with a bad throw. Which im not going to nitpick, every QB has those. He was leading the receivers by throwing to a spot so not very much accuracy is needed there, which is something Dak needs work on. Yeah he hit Gallup in stride, Which is something Dak has also done. But the tight window throws..i didn't see very much those which is my only concern .Because he's has some *** throws in his time in cincy

I can tell difference between what type throws he was making, so that's on you if you don't.

I have no idea why some people get so enamored with other teams sloppy seconds and hail them as a perfect hero.
