Ben DiNucci needs to start the rest of this season

like it or not, this ship is tanking already
so if it happens naturally sure but we wont get top 5 no matter what so Lawerence or a top 5 stud is NOT happening

so one of Daltons INt was WR falling down, that on him? 2 fumbles bad OL? weak defense?

I mean all season its been one thing after another with mistakes..

they aret going to play nooch. get passed it..

Can't do much worse than 10 points.

The Dalton crowd learned a painful lesson tonight. He sucks. That's why he's a 32 year old back up.

Cant do much worse? Dak had 3 games last season in which he produced 10, 9 and 9 points in 3 games but the "Dak crowd" saw nothing wrong with that and still wanted him to be the 40 million dollar man..........funny about the selective memory of some here:rolleyes:

Why on earth would we even toss the kid into this hot mess? Hell Tua has played 2 snaps on a descent Fish team! He will get totally killed behind the OL and useless running game. We now Dak is the future and this will do nothing for the kid.

1. If the season gets out of hand it's not a bad idea to not purposely tank but Dennucci could increase the odds..

2. He is a mobile QB and with how awful the blocking is a mobile QB could help us out.

They will play Dalton as long as we have a shot to win the division though but Dalton could very easily get knocked out of a game with the backup Oline he has in front of him.

Connor Williams was our only starter remaining from the start of the season last night lol.

Or he could actually cost us a few spots by winning a couple of games, lol....I see no point with little to be gained unless they want to see if he can start for us next year, which is in no way a possibility

I would Give Dalton a few more games. After all guys, lets be honest THERE IS NO WAY, this team will accomplish anything.
Anyone who think "we can turn this around" really has mind issues!

First, let’s be clear, even if this wretched team does somehow win this division, they’re getting bounced in the first round.

Dalton looked terrible tonight. He threw two picks but it easily should have been two more. With the offensive line in tatters, he doesn’t have the mobility to evade the rush. And his arm strength and accuracy are a shell of what they were earlier in his career.

Enter Ben DiNucci.

DiNucci is a rookie without the benefit of the preseason and he will make mistakes. But his raw talent trumps Dalton’s fading abilities as a quarterback. DiNucci can run to escape the rush and he has the arm strength to make all the throws.

And in a lost season, and make no mistake about it - this is a lost season, why not get a rookie some experience and evaluate him going into next year?

Of course, it’s not going to happen. It should but it won’t - not yet. But behind this offensive line, it’s only a matter of time before Dalton gets knocked out of a game. Then it’ll be DiNucci time. Should be now though.
This Oline may get Dalton killed anyway and Nooce will get forced in.

It's almost like they aren't even a fan of the team and have disregarded everything else associated with the team in order to support their one individual hero.

Dallas Daksters.

It's easy to jump to this conclusion, but it's not something that should happen at this point. Dalton gives the Cowboys the best chance to salvage anything and I won't make a conclusion after 1 game. Now fast forward 4-6 weeks and we're still having similar results sure throw the rookie in for evaluation.

The media and Twitter is exactly the same way too. Poor Tony Dungy had the audacity to suggest that the injury would allow the Cowboys to no longer be one dimensional and pass the ball 57 times a game, and he was tarred and feathered and had to go on the apology tour.

Never before have so many been in the tank, and have to walk on eggshells when discussing a mediocre, 1-2 playoff record, Cowboys QB.

Joe Buck and Aikmann have gone out of their way to chap their lips on Dakotas butt........and their latest "hot mic" comments explain why

would the nooch have scored in that divisional game last year? I say yes

yes we can do worse............Dalton only won 2 games last year:lmao::lmao:

Dak Haters are Duplicitous

I can see them giving Dalton 4 games and then letting DiNucci have the rest. I think if they throw DiNucci in now you are basically telling everyone that you have given up and that is not a great look. Not saying they haven't already given up, but they at least want to maintain the perception that they haven't.

I would protect DiNucci and put him in when he has a chance to be successful. Why take the chance of ruining him by putting out there to learn in bad circumstances?

If the OL was intact, I would say sure.

but you can’t put a rookie out there behind this OL. You’ll ruin his development.

There is no reason to let the Nooch get his first NFL experience behind a college level offensive line. It could hamper his development if there is any to be had.

Let Dalton finish this thing out and a lot of questions will be answered going forward.
This is the only reason I would say stick with Dalton. This OLine is not good enough to learn behind.

But, to play devils advocate, Troy Aikman played behind a horrendous line his first year and turned out OK. So I would not hate it if we at least attempt to see what Nooch can do.

THIS. Not sure why people don't see that. I would say that you're throwing Dalton to the wolves right now. DiNucci would at least have a fighting chance with his ability to make plays and scramble outside of the pocket.

I think if the goal is to develop him then I think you avoid putting him into this type of situation. I understand as fans we all get frustrated and easy to say oh just play him but we do so in terms of our own curiosity not what is best for the player. This kid had no pre season, right now we have backups across the OL this is not a good situation to throw an UDFA QB into the mix. This has nothing to do with saving a season or tanking a season in my view it is about crushing a young QB confidence by putting him in this situation. Glad BP did not do it to Romo, things could have turned out very differently for Tony had he been thrown out there before he was ready

Y’all really wanted diNucci to throw an incomplete, stop the clock, and make that dumpster fire of a game last even longer?
