Maybe but this OL is not very good and our defense is terrible.Nope. Behind this offensive line, I believe that DiNucci actually gives you a better chance to win.

One of those picks was a PI non call for the Cards. With that out of the way I completely agree with you. Let's play DiNucci and see what he has. We know what Dalton is. He's a back up with better accuracy and not much else. There is no upside of playing him besides losing draft slots. He should have had a pick 6 to start the game and got lucky. And it really showed how athletic Dak is when Dalton was basically a statue back there. I say let's see what BD is because we know what Dalton is. Dalton will give us no athleticism and no movement and lose to an average team. We can do that with Ben and then have a better evaluation of Ben since we didn't get a preseason.First, let’s be clear, even if this wretched team does somehow win this division, they’re getting bounced in the first round.
Dalton looked terrible tonight. He threw two picks but it easily should have been two more. With the offensive line in tatters, he doesn’t have the mobility to evade the rush. And his arm strength and accuracy are a shell of what they were earlier in his career.
Enter Ben DiNucci.
DiNucci is a rookie without the benefit of the preseason and he will make mistakes. But his raw talent trumps Dalton’s fading abilities as a quarterback. DiNucci can run to escape the rush and he has the arm strength to make all the throws.
And in a lost season, and make no mistake about it - this is a lost season, why not get a rookie some experience and evaluate him going into next year?
Of course, it’s not going to happen. It should but it won’t - not yet. But behind this offensive line, it’s only a matter of time before Dalton gets knocked out of a game. Then it’ll be DiNucci time. Should be now though.
Can't do much worse than 10 points.
The Dalton crowd learned a painful lesson tonight. He sucks. That's why he's a 32 year old back up.
If we lose to Washington sign me up.First, let’s be clear, even if this wretched team does somehow win this division, they’re getting bounced in the first round.

Sounds good to me! I’m in!Since all the posters here don't like paying players money, if we bench Dalton now we don't have to pay him his $1 million bonus for playing 35% of the snaps and somehow winning this craptastic division, which we still have a good chance of doing, believe it or not. That's right y'all, deny these players their money. You know you want to. Lol.
Most said the same thing about Dak too.If youre in first place (which in any semi decent divison we’d be last by 2 games) you play the guys you think can win some ball games
Ben has no NFL experience not even a preseason snap....they would eat him alive
They should have let him play and throw tonite, the game was lost by start of 4th, that way you can see if he can handle it.First, let’s be clear, even if this wretched team does somehow win this division, they’re getting bounced in the first round.

For anyone who has played the game instead of on a game console or warming their butt on a couch, Dalton wasn’t the main problem last night. Can't do much worse than 10 points.

I would sacrifice Dalton to the Football Team, Eagles and Steelers pass rush. Then after the bye starts give Dinucci the rest of the season. He might be a good backup for next season.First, let’s be clear, even if this wretched team does somehow win this division, they’re getting bounced in the first round.

There is no reason to let the Nooch get his first NFL experience behind a college level offensive line. It could hamper his development if there is any to be had.
Let Dalton finish this thing out and a lot of questions will be answered going forward.
