Spinach salad with boiled eggs, ham and warm bacon dressing. Tomato-basil soup. We're getting the Sydney Shrooms and cheesecake from the Outback to make up for the healthy crap we're having for dinner. Ever have that cheesecake? Fan-******-tastic, not kidding. My GF likes the caramel sauce. Give me the raspberry. We picked up a coupla bottles of port-style from a local vineyard the other day too. It's grape juice for NFL 2020 game day breakfast.

made a huge honkin' pot of texas red yesterday and put in the fridge . will warm it up today and guests and myself will graze throughout the day. finally cold enough for chili. corn bread. so nice to fire up the wood burning stove in the kitchen.
Good ole red eye is always best after day 2,,, the flavors just seem to just set in.

no question. chili's always best after it sits a day or two and the flavors meld. my ranch foreman's wife is making a bunch of gorditas for lunch for the gang. they're my favorite sandwiches. served with pickled slaw to cut the grease. she cooks real mexican style. maza flour and manteca.

When I lived in San Antonio for a brief period of my life, there was this little place,, for the lif of me I cant remember the name,,, but the best Huevos Rancheros ever,, little old lady in the middle of the kitchen making home made tortillas.
Spot on... someday I will return,, hope that place is still around.
There's a lovely lady who runs a taco stand in Johnson City just like that and her breakfast burritos are Huuge!!! Or you can just get huevos rancheros on a plate. Right on the highway just south of the Pedernales Falls State Park turnoff.

Sounds great. I usually go that route. This time I tried a white chili, we'll see how it turns out.
My chili never comes out the same way twice :)

We need to eat something from Louisiana so we can reverse the root put on this team.
a momma racoon was showing her babies the ropes of the forest. they came across a deer drinking by the river. the babies ran but the momma said it was just a deer and wouldn't harm them. later they came across a squirrel which also spooked the babies. the momma assured them it would not harm them. then they came across an old woman by the river. run for your lives said the momma to the baby coons. what was that they asked. the momma answered that was a cajun. and it will eat anything.
