If they start dalton against minn, I think I will not watch it live,will watch it later and ff thru commercials and halftime only 2 hrs to watch that way.

It is the perfect situation to play and evaluate all of the young QBs that they see as being on the roster next year.

I think we need to see what we have in Gilbert. Dalton did nothing in his time under center to warrant his job back. Accountability starts with the veterans. If Gilbert impresses the rest of the way, we can save cap dollars next year by cutting Dalton.

Nobody is telling the players to intentionally lose, the tank talk is just fans having some fun when the team is sitting at 2-7.

Jet fans were totally losing their chit tonight on social media when it looked like they might actually win, LOL, that is what I am talking about. Talk of tanking is just something the fans talk about for fun, nobody in the organization is telling the players or coaches to lose games on purpose.

The logical decision is to start Dalton for the next couple of games. Allows Gilbert more time to learn the full playbook so that if Dalton doesnt play well, he'll have a better chance of success if he replaces Dalton. If Dalton plays well, then continue with him.

anything that produces victories and a chance at the playoffs (as well as irritates team tank) is where I sit. I don't care if its one and done although I did see something yesterday that owners are going to vote today about essentially making the east winner go on the road instead of hosting a game.

Not sure it matters so much in a year where fans are playing a limited role.

that said the Oline is playing better than it did with Dalton against Washington give him another shot.

Gilbert. If nothing else, he at least brings some energy to the field.

Dalton's probably a better pure passer - though neither is ever going to have a pocket to do so - but Gilbert just has more chutzpah. It's kind of like Minshew and Foles last year in Jax.

LMAO.. Quincy actually had more physical talent than Romo ever did.. but he wasn't the sharpest tool in the shed so I don't think he ever would have scaled the heights Romo did. Physical tools will only get you so far in the NFL. At some point you have to be able to think the game at a high level..

I want Gilbert. Dalton is what he is and what he's always been. Mediocre. No life or emotion. No passion or drive. Hell, he show's more happiness when he screws up and is smiling like: "Gosh darn it all."
Dalton is a great person, but I want to follow the guy that is fully taking advantage of the opportunity and knows it may be the last. Not a guy who's had a full career of mediocrity. Gilbert may never be a full time starter, but he's a guy that can bring a spark as a back up.

Gilbert earned the starting postion foe the rest of the season but he earned a spot as Daks Backup. Asap like.

no he didnt did they rotate snaps in the same game, the situations and playcalli gand the ay the team played around both were very didfferent..Dalton payed with argaulabke THE WORST OL lineupo iof the yera and that hard to do..the olay calling was mundane etc

did zeke fumble twice and the defense give up 500 yards for gilbert NO

we lost martin and knight in Washington and the team just want playing well..the playcalls even against the eagles the defense in the 2nd half of the Washington game up uinti now are playing a lot better..

Dalton never got a true shot and i believe that why they want to give him a game or two..if he looks terrible then we know and GG can trot back in and continue to help us lose.. how we lose well its nice to not be ragdolled and play closer more competitive games sure

these record new threads started about GG vs dalton and before last game Nooch vs GG are laughable..its insane!!

Mm will have quick hook on Dalton iof he simply isnt moving the ball and looks terrible. He wont be afraid to go back to GG and frankly this means nothing inthe grand scheme of things, they simply giving Dalton a shot to prove the other games were flukes..no big deal

i can care less who the backup QB is right now..none of our QBs this year after 9 games have winning record..

let that sink in while having debate over whos the backup to our 2-7 team

I think Dalton gives us the best chance to win...a top 3 pick. I would leave Gilbert in for the rest of the season to see if we have a quality backup for a change going into 2021.
