We liked him in the draft but Atlanta scooped us. Probably for the best, though. He's proven to be a motivational challenge to coaches and basically tweeted his way out of Atlanta...... he was unhappy Atlanta didn't pick up his 5th year option. Atlanta is desperate for pass rushers but still didn't think Tak was worth the money. He's exactly the kind of player who will bust his hump.........until he gets that next contract.

I am not aware of his locker room issues or other stuff. If those reports are true then it certainly explains why the Falcons gave up on him. I really don't want that in Dallas. He does not seem like the brightest bulb on the Christmas tree to me. How big of a problem will he be in Dallas? Definitely an upgrade over Dorance Armstrong. Anae drops another peg if Takk sings with Dallas.

I think he’s speaking on if he’s picked up as a waiver wire claim.

that's what I assumed too.
From I understood of it, an NFL team can rightfully claim and control a player's rights on waivers wire that is still on his rookie contract (typically 4 years) , ..but that player could also hold out.

Man if you can’t respect what that was about then you just don’t get it. That’s years of pain and excitement rearing it’s head all at one time.

No. That’s about being a lunatic and not being able to control himself.

No complaints from me. But a few head scratching things that make me wonder

- What happens with Smith / Gregory?
- He needs a new contract next season. We aren’t really contenders so it’s not a move that puts us over the top for an 8 game rental
- He wanted out of Atlanta who was 3-6. Not sure mentally coming to a 2-7 team is right.

But I trust the team to have a plan on this.
He’s a guy that you would probably let walk in free agency and hope you got a comp pick for him. The fact that the Falcons weren’t interested in riding it out the rest of the season to see if they were awarded a complete pick says how badly they wanted to move on from him.

Yes he will fit right in with all the special problem children/players Jerry loves to draft and sign:

The main issue is as that video shows, the guy isn't any bigger than Deion.
That can eat in college but that size won't fly in NFL.

Dude is smaller than Jaylon Smith,
If we want an attacking edge that can cover some, just move Jaylon and go get a middle/inside linebacker in round 3/4.

That’s why you let him walk and hope for a comp pick.

That was Adrian Clayborn

Also Chaz Green is still in the league. He plays for the Colts
Green is still in the league? That is amazing!

He had the worst game, for an O lineman, in the history of the NFL, helped by Garrett not giving him any help.

If we do claim him, I think it’s just us getting the guy we wanted. Remember we wanted him over Taco

If they want to kick the tires, fine. I wouldn't expect much and frankly, he might not be worth the headache anyway. He's kind of a schmuck.
We should kick the tyres, check underneath and under the hood for signs of rust, listen carefully to the engine at everything from tick-over to redlined, have a good deep whiff for funky smellses and check the boot for dead bodies.

He's looking at a vet minimum contract. So cutting him would likely yield us nothing. Just about anyone we sign in the offseason will cancel it out.

Let the waiver expire and then see if you can get him for near nothing.
