KC just spent their 1st on a bell cow back. Looks like the super bowl winner disagrees w/ that RB by committee thingie.

Kansas City RB snap % last week:

CEH- 34%
Bell- 33%
Darrell Williams- 32%

Looks like the super bowl Champs use the epitome of a committee thingy

You base everything on one game? No wonder you can't get anything right!!!!

Seriously, look at the seasons stats. Here you go:

Player: Carries
Clyde 126
Mahomes 35
Williams 20

That is the epitome of a bell cow back. Now, do you have the nerve to admit you were wrong?

He is averaging 14 carries a game. Is that the definition of “bell cow” now?

a bell cow in today’s nfl is stupid. The difference between the chiefs and this one is night and day and if their top RB went down they wouldn’t be completely lost. The Cowboys RB is overused, pulls himself regularly and that certainly doesn’t get better as the seasons wear on. Plus it hasn’t netted any quality results at all. CEH is a rookie and I highly doubt he’s seeing the usage that Elliott is seeing when he hits year 5. He’s not even seeing it in year 1.

Pretty much, yes. Especially on a high octane O like KC's.

A high number of carries in today's NFL is around 250. Yes, I know a few get more. 250 carries in a season averages out to 15.6 carries/game. Even 300 carries averages out to 18.75 carries/game.

I would define a bell cow back as a player who takes the majority of a team's carries. Clyde fits that to a T.

Pollard...2 targets, 1 catch for 1 yard......something is wrong if you can't get Pollard on a LB or exploit him in the open field.

Watched TP blow it open in college from out of the slot, backfield or the outside. The cat has a lot of skills that Moore's not using ...

I think most people agree that Pollard has more skills than is being shown in Moore's offense. The question really is whether every down, 15-20 carry a game back is one of them. I don't think so.. some do.. At some point I guess we will see.

The day of the every-down back is over. Dallas is so stuck in the 90 's...they needed a fresh approach with a COACH that was modern...not some fat Overhill coach who got lucky because he had Rogers...

Hell we don't even fully utilize Zeke in the passing game.. so it should be no surprise that we can't figure out how to use Pollard. Moore simply has no feel for how to use running backs. Whether it be running or passing. His favorite formation is 5 wide empty backfield. That's why we go to it so often in the red zone.

And yet the three best seasons we've had in the past decade were when we had the NFL's leading rusher. Weird isn't it?

I disagree. If Zeke was the focal point, Dallas would not have gone .500 without Zeke in 6 games in Dak's second year -- including some games where the offense produced very well like the Giants.

We will see how the rest of this season plays out but Dallas will not get to .500 without Dak this year...Dallas has 2 TDs without Dak in 4 games. That shows that Dak is the focal point of this offense. If Zeke was the focal point of the Dallas offense back in 2017, I would suspect that Dallas offense would have produced similarly as they have been producing without Zeke as they are now without Dak.
Steelers practically we’re giving pollard yards..he was such a non factor. You could definitely tell Pitt wasn’t worried about pollard beating them. Pollard did okay some of those runs he had with more speed he would have taken to the house.
and in the last two years, about 10 games have turned when zeke let and poplars csne in. That includes games this year. All who think pollard is better are mildly ********. Retired football players who know the game and break down film all see that zeke gets more attention rim the defense than pollard, but these short bus fans think they understand the game better and say pollard is better. He’s the 2020 Troy ham brick.
