for anyone interested in being logical, what this game really illustrates is that any viable NFL level QB can use the skill positions on this team to win when they have some competent Oline play and a defense that isn't a complete embarassment.
only when augmented by brilliant play calling as was the case today.

good addition. play calling has been good most of the year and at least they take chances and put ball in playmakers hands unlike the lost decade.

Agree completely.

It shuts up those who claimed that Dalton had been playing with the exact same o line that Prescott had - we all saw the difference that Martin made today.
Do not think Gilbert is 50% of Dalton.

It would take several seasons to get him ready to win consistently.

Dalton has won 2 of our 3 wins with last 3 minute performances.

Big pass plays..very composed and not showing any problems from his concuss and virus.

But several people I know say that the side effects of the virus linger a good long time. Headaches, coughs, lost of appetite and sense of smell and taste..

So we will see how Dalton goes.

But will take his 2 wins and hope it's not too late for this season. We have 6 more games left.

Plus the weakest schedule remaining of any team coming up. We can not lose on Thanksgiving vs. Washington under any circumstances or our chances will dissolve a lot.

We shall see.

So many missing the point here.

Dak wants $40 million a year.

It would be stupid to pay an average quarterback a huge contract.

This really isn't about Dalton. He's just proving the point about paying Dak.
Shut it.

Dak is NOT asking for $40 million. He settled for between $32 - $35 million per. It was the length of the contract AND THE FINAL YEAR OF A TAG that he was disputing. With his current injury, Dak will definitely sign a reasonable contract Jerry is willing to offer, regardless of length of contract.

If it isn't about Dalton, then what is the point in bringing up Dalton? He obviously must think Dalton is at or near as good as Dak, otherwise there would be no point in starting a thread related to Dalton to make a point about Dak.

Of course, many people disagree that Dalton is at or near as good as Dak, so this thread doesn't really accomplish what he thinks. The same people that agree with him about Dak will still feel that way, and the ones that disagree will still disagree. This one game didn't do anything to move that needle.

Dumbest fanbase in the NFL and probably in Sports...........

Its really that the dumb ones are the loudest I dont think they are the majority.......

I finished the night saying I wouldn't let them steal my joy of that game and I wont, I enjoyed watching the Cowboys win and Dalton have some good plays and Zeke get it going.....It was one of the few good times I have had this year during a Cowboys game. Hear is the thing, its now down to "it not his play, he is good he just wants too much money" when your a fan saying that about your QB you deserve how many years you get of JAG's that will be strolling through here if Dak leaves...no I told you so, no see this is why Dak was good..if your still pushing that idiocy...then waller in your JAG's that we are due after Romo and Dak fell in our lap.

Remember this feeling because the Thanksgiving game could be bad as that is a REAL D-LINE unlike the vikes, if we can hold this protection I will be impressed.

The problem is we can't build a good enough team around Dak to win a Championship. That is the goal.

He isn't a difference maker at the position and he wants difference maker money.

The QB market is the market of stupidity. You participate in it without having a Championship to show for it or an actual elite player then you're a moron because almost none of these guys win squat when they are paid.

Dak has shown that he goes as the team goes. Well even a guy like Dalton can do that. We can do better or at least be smarter.

Dallas will no doubt do it your way in the end. They will cave.. We'll be the fighting Dak's for a few years and eventually we'll look back and think wow that was stupid and blame the team around him not being good enough.

We did this with Romo.. A lot of you didn't pay attention. So please pay attention this time and learn from it so when we get here with a different QB you won't applauding such a foolish move.

The goal is for the DALLAS COWBOYS to win a championship.

Again that according to YOU, every paid NFL talent scout says he is the diference, again if Dak leaves enjoy your JAG's ....every winning NFL team GM keeps his Franchise QB and builds a team....I'm not sure why just in Dallas we can't do both.

He is the difference between what exactly?

No.. Winning regular season games isn't the goal. Winning championships is the goal.

Can we pay Dak and he actually carry a team on his back to a championship? It's obvious he can't and he relies on others.

Romo, a guy that is much more skilled than Dak and more of a playmaker, has nothing to show for his time here. But hey we made him rich and it was a lot of fun right?

I want titles.

Trust me it didn’t take the Dak delusionals long to get on their high horse.

What they couldn’t comprehend is that the Oline was so terrible that he never had a chance.

When we have protected him he’s got Dak like results.

The great Dak Prescott’s was a watermelon kick from starting the season 0-4.

I actually disagree. When we protect him, we actually score in the red zone and win, like we did against the Giants and Vikings.

Remember, Dak has played with Martin this whole off-season and had plenty of practice with the OL to give him no excuses. The same roster that everybody claimed was the reason we were scrubbing with Dak ‘carrying us’ offensively, is the same roster, with more battered players. Notice how Zeke didn’t fumble the ball when we actually started developing a tempo running the ball.

Lol now Zeke fumbling is someone else’s fault but his own.

Come on man.

Let’s be real. Keeping Andy Dalton isn’t a strategy to win anything of significance either.

that’s the point.

If the cowboys are going to move on. They aren’t moving on for Andy Dalton.

With Dalton, they can draft a QB while developing tje young guy and the roster around him.

Some fun facts for your Monday morning.

Dalton has 2 game winning drives late in the 4th quarter in the 3 games he has played in the 4th quarter as a Dallas Cowboys.

Dak has 1 ( which came after a historic onside kick vs the falcons ) in his last 20 games played in full as a Dallas Cowboy.

Additionally - With the game on the line down 1 score or less in the 4th quarter with under 5 minutes to play and with the ball in hand. Andy Dalton is 2/2 in game winning drives. Dak Prescott is 1/8 in the past 2 seasons.

This is not an attack on anyone, just pure facts on 2 guys who have played QB for us recently. Carry on.
