I like dak, but I look at the game objectively, and this is something I have been noticed.

Andy was 1st round pick, Dak was a 4th. Andy is playing on a free agent contract, dak on his rookie. Thats the way it goes. Again the poor dak attitude.

Dalton was a 2nd round pick. And you’re the one who brought money into the equation, as if it mattered. We were talking about 1st half scoring between the 2 QBs, where you believed Dalton was good at it and Dak wasn’t.

I said it is alright to criticize dak because he is about to get paid, and even if he wasn't it is still ok. I didnt bring up the poor dak and his 4th round salary.

We were about average in scoring in the first half. 18th in 1st quarter scoring and 13th in 2nd quarter scoring. This year when Dak went down I believe we were tied for 16th in first quarter scoring and tied for 9th in 2nd quarter scoring, if memory is correct. Then we were 6th in 3rd quarter and 1st in 4th quarter scoring.

Andy “Dandy” Dalton is a solid quarterback backup. The issue is he lacks the arm strength to run a offense that is built for Dak. Zeke is not doing him any favors either.

I don’t believe Andy is playing well by any means however I think the coaching staff is ultimately the bigger issue. Terrible oline held together with scotch tape, Zeke massively under performing, had some pretty inconsistent play from Gallup, even CeeDee dropped a TD, and the Kellen who easily coached the worst game of his short career. Coupled with a defense that’s pathetic and has the offense on its back all day and a special teams that can’t bail themselves out.

Seems like some fans just want Dalton to receive much of the praise and credit for the games that the Cowboys won with him on the field. But, none of the fault, blame or criticism for the games that the Cowboys lost and that the offense struggled with him on the field.

averaged 27 points a game, which is about a td a quarter by averages, which is top 5


The cowboys were 8-8 last year. If you are 2nd in 4th quarter and 5th in overall scoring and you are 8-8, it is not working. If your an offensive based team with a bad defense, and are a mid of the pack offense for 3quarters, that is not good.

If a lot of your points come 4th quarter and you still get loses, are they trash points?

So, is it execution, play calling, qb mistakes, it has to be something.

I would say stupid mistakes, turnovers, and failure to execute this year while dak was in caused the loses, but it is something to wonder about.

If you pay dak top money,
1. then you have to hit on draft picks and player development on defense
2. The cowboys improve on scoring early and playing with the lead, which will help the defense

I am not saying don't pay dak, but if you do, you are locked in, and I would want to know why this offense isn't more consistent and translating to more wins

And you can blame the line all you want. Dalton made some horrible reads and missed some easy throws. Things you always criticize Dak for. Man is a statue in the pocket. Dak at least knows how to play behind a crap OL. He led Mississippi to a 1st overall ranking with no OL to speak of lol. This isnt trying to pump Dak up at all. Dalton knows how to run for 10 yards and keep his ankle facing forward, haha. Just a joke.

I doubt he knows dak outside of football, so not sure what you are talking about.

He was playing really well until 2 lineman went down, and the stupid coaching call to go for it on 4th at their own 30 in the first half. I think the cowboys had the lead, and were getting the ball back after the half.

He was looking good until zeke fumbled in the 2nd half.

Just saying you might not like andy, and it may be for reasons other than football

That loss wasnt on andy, and he was making good throws, and 2 nice runs for 1st downs. He did have some bad throws, but more good ones

when the qb has half of the yards rushing as both rb's combined, it is not good. rb's had 47 yards rushing

Dalton didnt play well yesterday but was nowhere near the reason we lost this game. Ceedee dropping easy TDs, Zeke fumbling, stupid playcalling by Kellen Moore etc.
