I have WAS winning division with 7-9 record.
I think they are a better football team with Alex Smith and have DAL finishing 5-11 half a game better than last place Eagles.

The NFCE as a group will probably win a few games they shouldn't late as other teams playoff standings are locked in while in the toilet bowl every game counts.
I could very easily see DAL go 6-10. But even at 7-9 we'd lose the WAS tie-breaker so it appears pretty a long shot for the first time all year.
Think you have this right. And the divisional record puts the Cowboys at a disadvantage in time scenarios.

I've been asking myself what is my break point. I have a deep athletic background and know you want to win and don't apologize. I do not consider myself a tank fan.

Get me 7-8 wins and I happily enter the playoffs. No apologies. But what about 5-6? Is that just counterproductive? Lose maybe 12-15 draft slots. Play a first place schedule next year. And sort of live in infamy as the worst ever playoff team.

Hard to find myself liking that picture.

Sadly yes.
Any franchise in the entire league would love to be in the NFC east... they would be in the playoffs a few weeks ago.
The 49ers in our division would easily be walking,, running away with it.
The Cowboys dont just suck,, this entire division sucks and is an embarrassment to the league and to the game.

Woh. I just looked at the schedule. Other than the remaining division games, it’s quite possible that no NFC East team will win another game the rest of the year.

I actually agree @Floatyworm - I think Dallas has the most favorable schedule of all of them. It’ll come down to those two division games. I say the Cowboys win it at 5-11.

Like this statement, but it's scientifically incorrect. Stars are way farther away than the moon. Aiming for the stars and hitting the moon as consolation would be more accurate.

Signed Doctor Spock :D

No he's correct, If you aim for the moon and miss, what else is there to hit? Nothing until you hit the stars.

Live long and prosper.

This would be the worst possible outcome for such an awful season. My dream scenario is land @ pick 4 and having the tackle being taken ahead of us leaving a choice of qbs and trading back to get that can’t miss defender we know the joneses are eyeballing and gaining all that sweet sweet draft capital so Jerry can single handedly build his 2nd dynasty.

The Football Team has no weapons but Scary Terry and scored 41 points on us at home. Cincinnati might get Joe Mixon back for us and their defense is better then ours. It will probably be cold in Cincinnati as well. The Ravens will have most of their players back and they are hunting for a playoff spot. The 49ers are getting healthy by the day. Two more of their players just came off the COVID list. With Wince I think we can beat Philadelphia but their defensive line is better then the Football Teams. The Giants are so overrated. They should have lost to the Bengals and Jones is a below average quarterback.

Antonio Gibson is 12th in the league in rushing and has 11 touchdowns. Not a weapon but the WFT has a strong defensive front 4 and a very good bus driver quarterback.
That combo will win games...

whoever wins this division will get to 8 or 9 wins.
7-9 @worst.
but who knows.
i just doubt the division winner comes in with only 5 or 6 wins.

Excuse me, but there are only 5 games left, for even WFT or the Giants to get to 8 wins requires them winning 4 of their last 5 games, to get to 9 wins requires one of them to go on a 5 game winning streak, after winning only 4 of their first 11?

How much of his stats are against our vaunted doomsday defense? Gibson is this year’s version of Zeke without the fumbles. Nobody is afraid of him.

You gotta look @ our schedule.....

@ Baltimore....L....but I wouldn't be shocked if we won. Ravens have been rocked w/ Covid...losers of 3 straight

@ Bengals.....W. No Burrows....leaves Bengals w/ no hope.

49ers.....W.....rocked w/ injuries.

Eagles....W ....have lost 3 in a row and counting.

Giants....L....but I still think we could win this.
Given the edge with Cinn., we easily lose 4 out of 5. Ridiculous to think otherwise given the way we play/coach.

The most realistic scenario, based on schedules: three teams finish 5-11, and the Eagles trail the pack at 4-11-1. The Giants win on the tiebreaker. But that randomly assumes the in-division games go to the home team, just because all 4 teams are awful and you need some deciding factor. It also assumes the Cowboys beat the Bengals, which is a broad assumption.

Maybe one team gets hot and separates. If the weather gets poorer, Washington might have a chance to be that team because of it's short passing game and DL.

Philly would also qualify on that basis, but it seems like their organization is falling apart. Rivera seems to have some buy-in in No Name Town.

Didn't say he's one of the top backs in the league, but he got limited carries early, as he's gotten "settled in" he's improved, let's wait until the season is over and then evaluate him, shall we?

No, Eagles still have to play the 9-2 Saints, 8-3 Packers and 6-5 Cardinals. Their schedule is much tougher, seriously doubt they will win the division...
but..... someone has to...
Wont be the Cowboys
Will be either the loser Eagles or Giants..
They win and lose...lol
We win.. which is actually even funnier

The only game they have a chance at winning it the Bengals. No way they beat the 49ers or Ravens. I think the Giants win the division.
