You do make a good point...at this point there is no evidence that Dalton is any better than Gilbert. With money being tight next year, would be wise to see if Gilbert can be #2 for a lot less money than Dalton would get.

dalton will play the whole season no matter if he is here or not next year. jones only worry about who makes the most money. they are paying dalton seven million this year so they are not going to sit him. i just do not think that the jones think that gilbert is even in there future plans at qb. would not suprise me if they franchise dak and try to get dalton to back up next year with a similar contract that he got this year.
