If you've ever strapped it on, you would not keep like that. ALL games are important!
Spoken like a dumb jock that has no clue what smart management is. Do you even understand why it's not always wise to score a TD and that it is better to kill the ball at the one-yard line?

Flip you! Idiot. You stop at the one when you're winning not when you're losing. Who's the dumb jock. Pendejo

If the team was so bad it couldn't compete with the Bengals it would need a lot more help than a couple of slots in the draft could address.
Add a healthy OL and Dak and you’re adding 14 points a game.

Add a healthy Diggs, some new DL and a better grasp of whatever scheme they run and you’re a lot better off

Not necessarily. If there’s 2 mins to go, you’re down 2 and Mahomes/Brady is on the other sideline, you go down at the 1 and burn clock.

Real confident teams should do it even down 4-7

Without a doubt better health would help, especially with the offense. But of course, a healthy Joe Burrow and Joe Mixon would have helped the Bengals too. I think the Cowboys have been hit harder than most teams, but there have been an unusual number of injuries all over the NFL.

Still, my point was only that having a high draft position does not, in and of itself, turn the franchise around. There needs to also be a good core that the draft picks will supplement and complement, so the team being terrible now doesn't bode so well for the future, even if draft position is somewhat better.

If Joe Burrow plays yesterday the Bengals win easy.

You’d have to have an OL like 2016 to do it down a TD. Down a FG, it’s stupid to do anything different but go down.

But giving Mahomes/Brady/Brees the ball with >1 min to go when they just need a FG is insanity.

Maybe - they got blown out, so it's hard to say if Burrows would have been enough to turn it into a Bengals win. But clearly he would have been harder to defend, and could have made a big difference for the Bengals.

Any individual rooting for a team to win should understand all the cheering and yelling does not improve or diminish play on the field, unless that individual's rooting tangibly disrupts their opponent's play (i.e. crowd noise) or intangibly inspires them (i.e. boosts their self-confidence, pride, etc.) while they are attending a game in person. All the rooting in the world from a couch does zero for the team. Instead, rooting affects how that person feels before, during and after the game. That's all.

Any person outside a stadium can root as hard as they want and burst a blood vessel inside their brain. Doing so neither makes a team win or lose nor inflate or deflate a team's draft status. On the other hand, there is absolutely nothing wrong with anyone wanting the team to gain a higher draft slot in the hopes of drafting potentially superior players.

The reason why rooting to lose comments gets negative blowback from certain readers is because certain readers do not have a losing mindset. It would be so SIMPLE for anyone to create the same threads and posts about the team improving its roster with supposedly better talent through the draft if the same threads and posts did not ask fellow readers to root for losses. Exact same topic material. Different reception.

This happens all the time. People post. They read the reaction. They know the reason why they got the reaction. Wait awhile. Post the exact same way. Get the exact same reaction. For Pete's sake. Does Jerry Jones have a dozen usernames on this site? Doing the same thing over and over again expecting different results is straight outta Jerruh 101.

I just don't get it. Why would anyone root for a loss???? Yeah, yeah, higher draft pick, but that's not a guarantee. How can anyone watch their team and hope that they lose????

I don't get it either. I just look at it as us being coaches and competitors, we're just not built that way.
