Any individual rooting for a team to win should understand all the cheering and yelling does not improve or diminish play on the field, unless that individual's rooting tangibly disrupts their opponent's play (i.e. crowd noise) or intangibly inspires them (i.e. boosts their self-confidence, pride, etc.) while they are attending a game in person. All the rooting in the world from a couch does zero for the team. Instead, rooting affects how that person feels before, during and after the game. That's all.

Any person outside a stadium can root as hard as they want and burst a blood vessel inside their brain. Doing so neither makes a team win or lose nor inflate or deflate a team's draft status. On the other hand, there is absolutely nothing wrong with anyone wanting the team to gain a higher draft slot in the hopes of drafting potentially superior players.

The reason why rooting to lose comments gets negative blowback from certain readers is because certain readers do not have a losing mindset. It would be so SIMPLE for anyone to create the same threads and posts about the team improving its roster with supposedly better talent through the draft if the same threads and posts did not ask fellow readers to root for losses. Exact same topic material. Different reception.

This happens all the time. People post. They read the reaction. They know the reason why they got the reaction. Wait awhile. Post the exact same way. Get the exact same reaction. For Pete's sake. Does Jerry Jones have a dozen usernames on this site? Doing the same thing over and over again expecting different results is straight outta Jerruh 101.

It doesn't make a difference it we cheer or boo. I'll give you that, but openly wanting to lose is pathetic. Don't you agree?

Comparing Dakota to Dalton, who is a has been who never was, is disingenuous

His fanatics should compare him to Mahomes or Rodgers.....but that’s a mismatch
No one is saying Dak is in their league.

Everson Walls was right, The Dallas Vs. Cincinnati game was a pillow fight. But I'm always happy for a win.

Besides, even if the Cowboys get the #1 overall pick, why should we be confident the Cowboys will choose the right player? Could youi imagine tanking a season just to get another Morris Claiborne?

Also, winning and losing can be habits. Do we want this team to get used to losing? Does tanking a season suggest that there are positives alternatives to winning? I want this tea,m to be very uncomfortable with losing. I want it to sting.

And when you’re 3-9 you’re looking for something you can build on going into next year. Winning instill confidence and helps create a winning atmosphere. Losing does just the opposite.
Every year is different. Miami was tanking last year. How do they look now?

I just don't get it. Why would anyone root for a loss???? Yeah, yeah, higher draft pick, but that's not a guarantee. How can anyone watch their team and hope that they lose????

How can you actually sit here and root for a meaningless win? When you know that every win hurts this team?

Do you think Jets fans are rooting for wins or just the dumb ones?

If you cant get yourself to root for a loss then just change the narrative.

Start rooting for better draft position.

Im rooting for a top 5 pick and your rooting for the 19th pick. That pretty much sums it up right there.

I believe they have...I mean if I understand your point correctly?

Dak is a top 3 QB and should be paid 35-40 million a year....is what "they" said.

That puts him in their league.

Of course...as per usual...I could have a completely broken link to your point.

You can keep changing the meaning of things. Bottom line...you are cheering for LOSING.

And that makes you exactly what you are.
