I believe they have...I mean if I understand your point correctly?

Dak is a top 3 QB and should be paid 35-40 million a year....is what "they" said.

That puts him in their league.

Of course...as per usual...I could have a completely broken link to your point.
Dak is worth whatever he can get. No more, no less.

I agree, but when you are watching the game in your recliner you are a fan, when you are coaching from the sideline you are a coach.

If we win 1 more meaningless game there is the real possibility of jumping over 5 teams and getting the #10 pick instead of the #4 pick.

This team MUST have a top 5 pick to have a better opportunity to rebuild this terrible defense.

I'd like nothing better than to get a top 5 pick or even higher, if possible, but it's not anything in our control. as fans. Your first sentence is exactly what I'm feeling in our current situation. I suspect we'll lose to all three of the remaining teams we'll play. Of course, we're tied with identical records with 4 other teams at present, so depending upon what they do, we could be affected by their fortunes in their remaining games.

I totally understand how you're feeling desperate and all but with Jerry and son in charge, success can be a fleeting thing. High picks or not, hopefully, we'll make the most of what we get. Actually, you're basically preaching to the choir on this thing. I couldn't agree with you more about our needs. We'll see what happens, despite sitting helplessly on our recliners and hoping for the best.

I just don't get it. Why would anyone root for a loss???? Yeah, yeah, higher draft pick, but that's not a guarantee.

There's no guarantee the world won't be destroyed by The Sweet Meteor of Death tomorrow.

But that's the way to bet.

I can understand wanting to cheer for a win.

Why can't you understand cheering for a better draft pick? It's really not that mysterious.

that’s your opinion....many on here see it as cheering for the team to have the maximum draft capital for next year to help with downstream success potential, especially since this is a lost year

it’s really not that mysterious

Let me expound.

Draft picks are ...shall I si9mplify it and say hit and miss.

The desire and effort and drive to win....even in the face of adversity,,,,is..TYPICALLY...ingrained in us and our DNA. You have to to cast off everything nature gave you to root for losing.

I get retreating. It's possible that is how you might describe it? You ...retreat...to fight another day.

But to openly actively and enthusiastically cheer for losses?

So I do see the ultimate objective. ...but....I can't root for losses. I want MY team to WIN ...always. In each and every moment.....win it. Not looking for some phantom fairy dust future win. KILLTHEM NOW.

LOL..."potential downstream success". That is hilarious!

because we have done SO well managing draft picks and players all these years. We''ll give up our principles and ethics as well....good call.

It's cheering for *wins that matter* over *wins that don't*.

Cheering for wins is what fans do.

It doesn't matter how "constructive" the win is. YOU..cheer your team to WIN.

Managing draft picks is NOT what fans do.

It's not THAT mysterious. If you want to work for ESPN then go do that.

Eh... the dice will fall where they may and we are but observers in the process of it all.
What we're doing is debating philosophies with each other while not influencing anything of the subject which we argue.

This is really more an exercise of learning each other, rather than learning football.

But the thing is you HAVE to apply SOME logic to the comments.

I am not very good at photographic/mnemonic memory. I can't remember EVERYONE's post history. But if you say "I've hated our team history for 25 years" and then claim to want to lose for GREAT draft position. I mean....there's some disconnect there.

You want to purposely LOSE for stuff you have HATED? Come on;.

I can get behind that...I personally loved some of the moments in the Romo years and we have had a couple good years with dak just haven’t gotten over the hump

I have no issue wanting losses at this point bc the season is donezo and draft capital is going to more important going forward than wins now.

I mentioned this before but the quit I saw in the wash and Baltimore games pushed me over the edge, but to your point I also don’t have criticize everything over the past 25 years and am more frustrated with this team than any I can remember in my adult history.

I totally understand that...and have posted such. "accountability"...I have said.

We here...have none. We can say and propose any such thing and arguments and agreements will ensue. But in the end it is not an entity with any real consequence or accountability.

Some people act like it is.

As far as "learning".....there are far and FEW members who come here to learn. Most just want to impose their will. I am already on record as NOT an expert and TRYING to learn.

we stayed in the exact draft slot after a win.. no biggie we get to be a little satisified with win and still on track for top 10 draft pick regardless f the rest of the schedules results..

Players and coahes do NOT tnk, dont use the word it was mad eup by fans..teams are simply that bad and some start using young players as the season closes with appearances of tank

those keep citing MIA tanked last season got tua..

UMMMMMM NOOOOOO! they did NOT

they started horrible finished 3-3 and 2-0 to close it out, beat NE last year..so how did they tank Fitz started every game and they got better the last 6 not worse..

funny fans only remember them making bye week trade deadline moves and started the tank talk..that did not happen,,they picked what 5/6 after showing improvement and it carried over..

I do not want to finish with 4 losses, sorry long offseason and fan losing on purpose is poor sportsmanship, bad character, and just wouldn't truly be allowed by the league, fines and threat letter would be sent , the Games integrity would be called in question..

sorry lose naturally, get high draft picks, i can live with, absolutely no coach or player go into games after the first kickoff, saying ok how do we lose this one..nah fans can think that and possible GMS might purposefully take a way talent and have drafts high in their minds but coaches and players do NOT and they are the ones controlling the game..

if fans around here dont understand what the Integrity of the game and true sportsmanship means, they never played sports and already had bad character..
This very little team has tanked before. Blame Jimmy and by the way, it worked out great. He did the very thing that us tankers wants to see and it helped him build the greatest team in the NFL.

Okay cool...I think I can relate to you.

Why do you give so much credit LOSING...AND.... being draft well this year? What gives you such confidence to abandon your principles for a phantom promise?
Which draft picks gives you such confidence? Which draft picks don't?

You can just give a general answer.
