Was Aikman Mahomes? But if this was Aikman playing now instead of Dak, Dak haters would not question paying Aikman elite money. They bring up Dak's so called flaws, but never bring up Aikman's career 141 int's to 165 td ratio.
Nope, but he wasn’t a stat machine either. He sure won lots of games, and better than anything I’ve seen from Dak so far.

How many rings does Dak have again?

Bad comparison on your part. Dak is more of a Romo than anybody. Great stats, but no playoff wins that counted.

Your pic should also have The Red Rifle is a BB gun.
.
.
NO it should have what i CHOSE to submit , not you..do you stay in your lane while i do you..

however those look like one shot muzzle loaders , so it applies. BTW a backup qb playing with mostly a lost broken severely inured team sure is getting a lot of negative energy for ZERO Reason..*seems like Dak slobberers dont like his position threatened..lol Inform Dak Dont freaking get hurt and take 32 mil and stop rejecting contracts as this mess was caused by Dak and his agents, had great deals he left on the table and now last year his shoulder and piss poor play against the eagles and this seasons ankle has cost us two losing seasons B2B..you want to be critical be critical of a Player who wants 40mil vs the one making 3mil and played through a concussion and Covid..

we know AD is a backup and hes being over criticized as i see the exact same area of stats for the bottom 16 teams starting qbs let alone a backup

some serious issues in the zone , seriously seek help.

We had Dak scoring 38+ pts and were still a bottom barrel team. What’s the difference except one gets much higher paid. The cheaper option even has more more wins this season. With a worse team at that.

We were 2-3 losing one score games to the Seahawks and Rams. Hardly bottom barrel.

I already explained the difference, read.

Thats a false and stupid statement easily disproven, despite playing multiple more games l.

How do you define elite? He couldn’t win at all when Zeke wasn’t there. How many playoff wins does he have?

LMAOOOOOOOO you're about the only one that still thinks that 4.1 yards per carry Zeke was the reason we won "only" half the games while Zeke was out, instead of it being due to Chaz Green starting.

We won half of our games when Zeke was out. What % of games have we won while Dak has been out? Sit the entire **** down LMAOOOOOO

He's made it to the playoffs twice in his first four seasons, better than 72% of other QBs, and won a playoff game, better than 78% of QBs. Dak haters really are the most stupid human beings lol.

grossly over paid player, but shouldn't stop you from paying those that perform and we should. I don't think Martin is over paid. We paid Cooper and he is our leading receiver. We paid Jaylon we shouldn't had. We should have paid Jones and kept him, but didn't. We paid Lawrence and We shouldn't. so its not all bad.

Jerry and FO put the team in this situation because they made every conceivable wrong call on the defense over the past 5-8 years.....FA and draft. its an organizational issue that no amount of money or draft picks can fix at this point, unless we have somebody else doing our defensive talent evaluation.
agree Plus the zeke contract is turning into a nightmare. He is so average it is embarassing. Defenses don't respect him at all. Cooper is a Very good reciever but not worth 18.5 mil . I agree also that if the FO doesn't make the right picks on defense and invest there, it won't matter . there will be no super bowl pushes without a great defesne.

lol. How many rings did Aikman get after 1995 when he no longer had a stacked defense (like he did on those SB teams)? Teams win SB's, not one player.

and that's the point. it takes more than just the QB. a good offense. reliable above average defense, a good head coach that can make the right calls in critical times (which garrett notoriously was awful at)..... the QB can run the plays he is given...we know how awful linehan was, we know how bad garrett was at situational game management...for Gawd's sake he iced his own kicker in a game. we know moore is still very very very green and wet behind the ears....

the right coach makes a lot of difference.....a decent defense makes a lot of difference......
The team is a direct reflection of the coach. Maybe not talent wise, but they reflect the coaches effort and attitude. You are getting a first hand look at MM during these games.

ahhhh, skillwise they are worlds apart. I mean worlds. one is an almost has been, who never was on his last leg going towards the NFL exit door. the other a rising QB in the league, among the top 10. do I say that? no 50 front office personnel made that assessment.....but hey, maybe they should just come to you and let you tell them what to think. what we have seen first hand is what Dak did with the same team as Dalton..... proof is right in front of you. you just have to pen your eyes a tiny bit....just a tiny bit....

and I am opposed to building a team through FA. it has never worked and doesn't work. you find a piece here or there. but you build through draft and with the players you developed. to get impact players you need to spend money. a lot of money. and you aren't going to get two impact players while bringing in literally scrubs for your QB. and this defense is more than two players away from being respectable. they plain suck. we added cooper to the WR group two years ago and it transformed the offense, by providing a badly missing weapon and just rounded the offense. since then they were #1....(not counting dalton's few games).

and none of the Dak detractors have provided a viable option to Dak....lawrence, fields are out of the question. Dalton sucks. perhaps after Dalton, everyone is going to put all their money on DaNucci.....given according to many of the dak detractors anyone could run this offense and get same results.

You can only draft so many players, you absolutely have to sign guys in free agency. As constructed I do not see us winning any more games with Dak at the helm than with Dalton. Dak played just as bad at times before all the OL injuries piled up. In seasons past Dak has also struggled when Zeke wasn't able to carry the team or when 1 OL wasn't a pro bowler. So no the difference between these 2 isn't that big, both look good vs bad teams both struggle against good defenses. As far as free agency, you absolutely can add impact players without paying max money and they will have too since half or more of the secondary will be free agents. They do have to choose the right guys at the right price and i'm not saying they will but they will need flexibility to do so and double down by drafting well. They could add 2 CB, 1 safety, could help tremendously vs the junk we currently have today. and that is doable between free agency and the draft.

How did Aikman do when Emmitt didn't carry the team or when 1 OL wasn't a pro bowler?

As a whole the team was aging out and they didn't adequately replace the talent. After the SB runs when the league became cap driven their team building failed to change with it and they suffered with aging talent still highly paid. An issue that teams are still faced with today.

Yup, Aikman no longer had a stacked defense, something Dak's never had.

It also isn't true that he's struggled when Zeke hasn't carried the team.

Zeke has yet to carry the team in his career, and yet Dak has done just fine lol.

I don't disagree that you have to sign some free agents. probably for depth, to improve depth (as we can attest to the need this year). but you CANNOT build a team through FA. offense or defense. you don't go on a FA spending spree to sign high priced FAs to build a strong defense. no team has ever succeeded in trying to do that..... there are multiple reasons behind that. great, impactful, HOF type players are often resigned by their own team and hardly hit free agency. teams use franchise tag as a means to extend time to negotiate....if FAs hit the market, they are often flawed. they are older, injured, head cases. Jerry needs to understand and admit where the team is and he has often been wrong, taking chances thinking we are one player away. Greg Hardy was a great example. Ronaldo Mcclain. there is long list of FAs he signed that failed....and most, almost all on defensive side of the ball.

I think we would have a better chance of winning with Dak....a much better chance of winning.....Dak is worlds' above Dalton....WORLDs ABOVE...everyone and their grandmother knows Dalton is washed up. all this nonsense rhetoric by a few here are just for fun for them. seems like you are also washed up in the nonsense...... everyone knows Dalton is not the answer to anything....and I find it amusing that everyone tends to over analyze, every throw, every series, every play, every quarter, every game for a player. no player can stand to that level of scrutiny. not even tom Brady.

and this year it became painfully obvious what the offense was capable of doing with Dak, vs. anybody else back there, with pretty much the same players....coaching held us back in the past. I challenge anyone to tell me how many superbowls would Brady or Rottlisberger win with Garrett as their head coach.

and even if we didn't sign Dak. have 20M extra on the cap, is this defense one impact player away from being a dominant defense that it would need to compensate for a way below average QB? you would need several of those to be decent and we run into the same cap issue all you all are complaining about.

which basically it comes down one thing. everyone just doesn't like the contract numbers for Dak for some reason without being to prove why it would hinder the team and without being to prove that the alternative is better, when all stats, numbers, facts point to one fact. this offense was/is much better with Dak than any quarterback we have on the roster.

Ahh I see. And this can happen with or without Dak's signature?

No, once Prescott signs the tag he becomes a Cowboy. When not signed other teams can make offers on that non-exclusive tag and if the Cowboys don't match, then they get 2 first round picks from the team who's offer they don't match. Once Prescott accepts another team's offer to submit to the Cowboys no other team can make any offers. Multiple teams can make offers to Prescott but he can only submit one to the Cowboys to match.

Man, you come here and try to put down one of the best QB's Dallas has had to try an prop up Dak? Dak will never have the success that Troy had. Never. And what a supposed Cowboy fan you are, putting down two HOF'ers for your Dakky Dak. That is downright pathetic! However, I consider the source.
