Did Mike McCarthy fool the Cowboys front office?

Mike McCarthy is on pace to make 1.5 MILLION dollars per win this season; nearly twice as much as Lebron James [per win to $ ratio] with the Lakers last regular season (for whatever reason this was the first professional athlete that I thought of, completely random but adds a bit of perspective I guess).

The flip side is - this season is a complete anomaly due to the virus and he brought in a completely different staff, mostly all of the free agents that weren’t suspended for weed were a bust, Gerald McCoy (probably our #1 DT) got hurt before playing any meaningful football, the 2 studly offensive tackles have been hurt for pretty much the entire season, we don’t have a #1 defensive back in a pass happy league, oh and the franchise QB had his ankle turned into one of those odd New Years spinning things that people hold & twist to make loud noise (btw, where are those things the other 364 days a year).

Nevertheless, who would you like to see coach the Cowboys in a year or two if Big Mac doesn’t turn this around in 2021?

Things Mac has going for him:

-Dak will be back

-All pro LT Tyron Smith will be back

-Pro bowl RT La’el Collins will be back (correction: I thought La’el went to the Pro bowl last season but he did not).

-Zeke will put on his annual 20 pounds and be the best full back (emphasize FULL) since Moose.

-They’ll have a top 5 draft pick IF they’re smart.

-They have a plethora of draft picks including 3 tradable compensatory picks in the 3rd, 4th, and 5th rounds due to them losing Byron Jones, Robert “1 sack” Quinn, and Randall Cobb. Told you guys the whole offseason that Robert Quinn is absolute dog poop. Dude is making almost $1 million per tackle this season.

-“Magic” Mike McCarthy & staff will probably have a whole offseason to implement those advanced analytics he worked on in 2019 and ‘sold’ to Jerry.

Does anyone on the team know about this?

You think we're keeping a FB for Zeke's contract?

I'm skeptical of this idea.

Mike is making about a 3/4 of a ton per month of compostable fecal matter. Unfortunately it is going to waste.

Remember Jimmy Johnson AND Tom Landry only won 1 game their first year. Patient people.......just a little would help. I understand the frustration, I really do, but we'll never win anything changing QBs or coaches every 1-2 years as some seem to suggest.

Has the team been good? No.

But even if Belichick were coaching this team how many games would have been won without 3 pro bowlers on the OL and the pro bowl QB?

He would have made the defense look better but it would have been worn down like the second Washington game when the offense can’t stay on the field.

MM deserves to be able to tweak things going into next year and see what he can do with a healthy roster. I don’t know if he’s this bad or just one of those coaches that can win when he’s got a level talent edge but as we’re seeing in NE this year, you can’t just take any group of friends players and expect to win. It’s always Talent over coaching.

Even Shanahan mentioned just this week how injuries have hit us hard, just like his team. I know it's easy to hide behind but damn, NO team losing it's starting QB AND OL for the season is going to do much. Where you think KC would be w/o Mahomes and 2-3 starters from OL, what about Greenbay and Rogers, notice the Saints are suddenly struggling w/o Brees. Bottom line, MM gets a freebie this year, and rightfully so but all bets are off after the 2021 season. He needs to produce, no excuses and I think he will.

No head coach has EVER won a Super Bowl with two different franchises.

Does anyone think of all the coaches that have tried MM is the one to break that trend/record?

I see what you saying but honestly, the record is not that hard to break. What's kinda caught in their how hard it is to win any Super Bowl. Of course, winning one buys a coach another what, 3-5 years with his current team or more w/o losing seasons.
