Rule of thumb. Never take a paraphrase from the EnemyOfThePeople at face value.

Yes, McCarthy exaggerated how much film he watched.

Does Stephen sound concerned? Really, given Condensed NFL games than can be watched in 1/2 an hour, McCarthy would only have to watch 8 hours of condensed games to watch all plays. If you watch video speeded up 2X, you can cut that time in half.

As McCarthy correctly says himself, the point is finding trends of the Cowboys generally and the players individually.

Obviously this is not a revelation leaving Stephen feeling that he was conned. If you want to play "But he said something untrue!", knock yourself out.

You think Stephen and Jerry can't see through a little exaggerated self promotion? They probably *wouldn't want* a coach that didn't do that. Not their kind of guy.

To allow a coach a paltry one or two years to overcome the multiple problems that this one has incurred, it would not be fair to the coach, nor his team.

While it's true that McCarthy offered a poor response to these problems, common sense should prevail, in due consideration of the hardships involved.

Its not about Big Mike and whats fair to him.

The Dallas Cowboys are the only thing that matters.

Fire Mike and move on.

record number of injuries' with new staff is #1

when you mange clowns you might look like a clown..they didn't have team we had a 3rd string team all year and its Fact ..get over it..decsions made under fire short staffed and out of desperation look far different then going to war with your front line elite squad..

its like having your elite seals team, rangers, and prime weapons all get sunk in the middle of the ocean and have to go to boot camp and use 100% raw recruits to fight war against the best the opposition has to offer..

if you dont understand that, you will always be blinded within your own narratives..

so that explains the complete lack of motivation the D has shown nearly every game and some insane coaching decisions and play calls? If you can’t see that then you are blinded by your own Homerism

Sorry to disappoint you but it seems I don't have the authority to grant your request. You, also, wouldn't do well telling Jerry to do that, since he wouldn't be inclined to listen. He and Stephen already made their intentions clear in that regard. What may come in 2021 is yet to be seen. I don't expect miracles from MM, nor anyone else. This team is a challenge for any coach to deal with. Anyway, it's not like we have a say, is it? Yeah, didn't think so. Times are tough.

Mike McCarthy is on pace to make 1.5 MILLION dollars per win this season; nearly twice as much as Lebron James [per win to $ ratio] with the Lakers last regular season (for whatever reason this was the first professional athlete that I thought of, completely random but adds a bit of perspective I guess).

The flip side is - this season is a complete anomaly due to the virus and he brought in a completely different staff, mostly all of the free agents that weren’t suspended for weed were a bust, Gerald McCoy (probably our #1 DT) got hurt before playing any meaningful football, the 2 studly offensive tackles have been hurt for pretty much the entire season, we don’t have a #1 defensive back in a pass happy league, oh and the franchise QB had his ankle turned into one of those odd New Years spinning things that people hold & twist to make loud noise (btw, where are those things the other 364 days a year).

Nevertheless, who would you like to see coach the Cowboys in a year or two if Big Mac doesn’t turn this around in 2021?

Things Mac has going for him:

-Dak will be back

-All pro LT Tyron Smith will be back

-Pro bowl RT La’el Collins will be back (correction: I thought La’el went to the Pro bowl last season but he did not).

-Zeke will put on his annual 20 pounds and be the best full back (emphasize FULL) since Moose.

-They’ll have a top 5 draft pick IF they’re smart.

-They have a plethora of draft picks including 3 tradable compensatory picks in the 3rd, 4th, and 5th rounds due to them losing Byron Jones, Robert “1 sack” Quinn, and Randall Cobb. Told you guys the whole offseason that Robert Quinn is absolute dog poop. Dude is making almost $1 million per tackle this season.

-“Magic” Mike McCarthy & staff will probably have a whole offseason to implement those advanced analytics he worked on in 2019 and ‘sold’ to Jerry.

Most clowns can dupe Jerry. Gailey, Wade, Campo, etc. did. Now Big Mac. All a coach has to do is pretend he respect and needs Jerry's knowledge of football.

McCarthy didn't fool the front office. He just won Jerry and Stephen over with his "I Beat Anorexia" T-shirt during his head coaching job interview.
