People that were lying about the severity and seriousness of his season-costing injury ought to be ashamed of themselves!

Not good news at all. Can't find anything on the internet to say whether it was a hip replacement type of surgery or something less? Either way, this doesn't bode well for La'el's future.

With Tyron Smith getting up there in age and needed surgery himself due to his body frequently breaking down, plus now with La'el's serious hip injury that required surgery, it certainly seems the Cowboys will have to address the Tackle position in the 2020 Draft.

Good thing there are at least 10 pretty good Tackle prospects that can be taken in the first 3 rounds.

The good thing here is L Collins went from almost spending a decade in prison to being a millionaire. I'm glad he got the chance to earn a living because not many teams were willing to help him out. He'll probably need a hip replacement but at the same time probably won't be leaving the NFL with multiple concussions like a lot of other players.

GL and best wishes LC. and thanks for coming aboard and playing your best.

I had a hip replacement and my days of running, skipping or jumping were over and I really miss skipping.

If he's had it replaced, I don't see how he could put the pressure and torque on that hip being the size he is. He would also have to be careful because a replaced hip is lot easier to dislocate. If he does that, there will be damage around the joint as well.

But this makes sense as the Cowboys have always been mysterious about injuries and underplayed them. Booger underplayed Ratliff's one time and found out he was just healthy enough to chase his old butt out of the locker room.

This can't be true...

Fish insisted he was overweight and out of shape and that Dallas was using injury as a cover up for the truth...

I cant believe we are willing to lie about injuries like this.

Probably somewhere in between I mean it doesn’t take a full season to get in shape.

OT is a high priority in this draft. We can also look at shifting Connor Williams to OT. Or Zack Martin for that matter.

Bottom line is that if the OP is true— Collins simply cannot be counted as a starting caliber OT at this point.

I don’t think Knight would be a bad RT if need be. Steele stinks. But I agree you need at least to find Tyrons replacement. If you can find 2, go for it.

The more I think about it, the more I like moving Zack out to RT. Easier to find a OG than an OT, and McGovern is a better G than Knight is a RT imo...

Draft an OT with the top 3 picks and add some depth there in the later rounds. Maybe make La’El your swing OT and limit his snap count. Anything we get from him will be gravy.

Hope Tyron’s surgery and the year off gets him back to 100% again. Would be outstanding if he can finish his contract playing at a high level

More reason to trade down in the first round, and get a another pick.

Daniel Faalele Minnesota.... early second.... 400 pounds of beef. Wont have to worry about this guy not having enough lead in his pants and getting pushed back into the quarterback.

I really hadn’t thought of Zack out there full-time. Just because he’s an all world RG. But certainly a possibility. I hope I’m wrong but I don’t think Tyron will ever be 100%, and its probably in his best interest to go the Frederick route, I know he’s young on paper but he is beat up like he’s 35. The ONLY good things IMO to come from this abomination of a season is getting a real look at young players like Shultz, Knight, McGovern, Donovan Wilson.

Knight sucks! He’s had time to develop and is a JAG at best. At least Steele has proved during the year and can get stronger.

How do you figure that? He's never played LT till this year. Even in college he was a RT.

This offseason like many he had little tc to prepare, let alone for the left tackle role.

This forum has a weird obsession on writing off young players asap. Especially for positions that aren't easy to be good at asap.

Ok Mrs Steele. My apologies about your son. But he really needs to find another line of work.
