exactly. This isn't prime Brady, Peyton Manning, Aaron Rodgers, *cough* Romo that could work with most receivers, they obviously still need help but you don't need to dump all resources into the offense.

This team needs help all over and I don't see how the teams continues to progress AFTER Dak gets paid as compared to our progress before he gets paid. We are dangerously close to working backwards for years and it all depends on this one contract.
The only way after paying Dak is to stop paying Cooper and or Elliott. So we can invest on defense.

Otherwise we’ll continue with what we have had. A great offense that beats average to below average teams but struggles against better teams who we can’t stop relying on our offense to carry us.

It’s entertaining fantasy football but will come up short In January.

Dak, now it's crystal clear the Joneses are not 100% all in on you. They are outright telling you what they think and what they were trying to do to draft your replacement before this year started. Give them what they want. Make them eat their words and regret losing you. Go find a team that will truly appreciate you.

I hope he will do so.

Unless of course Dak truly becomes an elite top 5 passer elevating whatever weaknesses we have to a championship. We may be fixing to find out in a couple years.

Except I hated the contract they gave Romo, but nice try. Gonna try to edit history again. You just proved you're a dak fan and not a Cowboys fan.
It’s about proving Dak is greater than Romo who he was a leading basher on. Typical troll like behavior.

OMG, would you like some cheese with that whine!!........Ever hear the saying, never put all your eggs into one basket.. A team evaluates players, you never know if you're sitting there in the third round and a player you have listed on your board as a first round talent drops to you even if the position is deep on your team, you select that player because he's the best player available when you're selecting regardless...
Like we did with Cede Lamb. Best player available at the time. And Hurts is going to be a good one, maybe better than Dak

I guarantee you if Jerry let Dak go, the best coach in the NFL (who at the beginning of this year so rarely but eagerly gave such high praise of Dak) would get Dak to sign and help win some more Super Bowls in New England.
Is this the same kind of guarantee like your Jerry will sign Dak before the end of this season?????

Whatever. You weren't against Romo's first big contract. Maybe the second but not the first. And for the umpteenth time, I'm pro-Dak because of his talent and abilities, but I've said it many times I'm against he getting paid amongst the highest paid at his position. Like I've said before, it would be good if Dak accepted an offer in the low $30s/year.

I don't have to prove anything, Greg. Dak has already proven that himself. Dak IS better than Romo ever was. That's a fact.

What has been proven is how wrong you Romosexuals were, just like I predicted many years ago on the old forums, and time proved that to be true. It must suck being so wrong, eh?

No, your wrong. You always want to lump us critics all together. I was a a critic of Romo as well.

Your colors are showing for all to see. Once the personal insults begin you have lost the argument.

And by your own admissions of expecting Dak to take a low 3o’s million contract is admission he isn’t worthy of a top 5 contract which is all most critics are saying and why our ownership hasn’t signed him.

In the end Dak like all Cowboys QB’s will be judged by the success of the team. Nobody cares about a#1 offense that can’t make the playoffs except fantasy and Dak fans.

Well in that case Dak better get ready to lower his asking price by 40% to go play in NE because there is no way Bill is going to overpay for Dak when he knows that he will have to load his team with talent on both side of the ball just to keep his QB functional.
NE knows how to allocate monies, they are not paying a good QB over $22-25 mil a year and as Dak is looking for 35-40 a year it is not happening except in someone's warped brain.

You hit a nerve , he is in a quiver all over and lashing out as is typical with him, he has a Romo button and deep Dak love , this is good entertainment, thanks.

by the end of the day
by the end of the day
Before the day ends. IE: before the season ends,

I think everyone is seeing your agenda. Much like the Romo fanatics you’ve become a bigger fan of our QB than the team. Karma is hell AC.

Facts as you see them. The Cowboys haven’t been any more successful with Dak than they were with Romo. It’s basically the same frustrations and disappointments of no championship appearances.
