Dak, now it's crystal clear the Joneses are not 100% all in on you. They are outright telling you what they think and what they were trying to do to draft your replacement before this year started. Give them what they want. Make them eat their words and regret losing you. Go find a team that will truly appreciate you.

when did it become disloyal to do the best for the team. If Dak gets this thinking in his head he's a goner

Nothing wrong with looking out for the team, but why come out and expose it to the world? Why didn't the Joneses do this crap when Romo was QB for 10 years, especially when he was young? How come Jerry ran to the bank and gave Romo his 1st of 2 highest positional paid QB contracts to Romo not even 1 full season as a starter, yet he doesn't do the same for Dak who has done nothing but break franchise records since he got drafted? How come Jerry pays so many others top positional pay without hesitation before their rookie contracts subside and doesn't look at drafting other players in early draft rounds, yet he does the opposite for Dak who has done nothing but ball out for this franchise? That's my point. The hypocrisy is so clear. If the Joneses truly don't believe in Dak, let him go then and live with your decisions. Don't be trying to show face while looking like hypocrites.

Did Romo compromise?

This article talks about Romo's 2nd big contract extension in 2013. Sure doesn't look like any compromise, especially after leading the team to back-to-back losing seasons and throwing 3 interceptions in the last game of the season against the Commanders with the playoffs on the line. Notice how the article points out how there were many players already with big contracts on the books and with many holes to fill on the team, yet Jerry and Stephen didn't hesitate to give Romo a franchise record 2nd big contract extension.

So, once again, why the double standard against Dak?

that ship has sailed. Cowboys offered him that and Dak just laughed.
Not necessarily. With Dak's recent major injury, he definitely has to realize a longer term contract extension is what is now best for him and the Cowboys. This injury just might have been a blessing to finally get a deal done.

If Dak doesn't realize this, he needs to leave or fire his new agent who has done nothing but give him bad advice and hurt both Dak and the Cowboys.
