This is going to hurt if it happens. We’ve had the #1 offense in the NFL since Moore took over as OC and with Dak as the QB.

I'd really like to see what direction McCarthy would go with the offense. One of the reasons that he kept Moore is that he didn't want to change the offense too much and mess it up. Without Moore, does he go more toward his West Coast tendencies.

There's room for this offense to improve against good defenses, so I'm OK with seeing if McCarthy is able to take it to the next level.

It should be no surprise Kellen is interested in that Boise State job, he's a Boise State guy. But that doesn't mean he is going anywhere. Jerry will pay Kellen to stay. It's got nothing to do with Mike McCarthy.

It will be interesting with the direction he goes. I’m hoping he keeps the majority of the offense the same with whomever he picks as the OC. Kellen’s offense was prolific although there were some questionable calls when it really counted. It’s just a mystery what’s going to happen which is concerning.

I feel we have the offensive players (if everyone's health) to succeed in a lot of schemes. The biggest issue with making a change (as we've seen on defense) is learning a new scheme.

Dak has to learn a new offense while learning how to walk again in a contract year.

Probably doesn't matter to him. He would have to do that if he decides to leave.

I don't care if he goes or not. I did however was hoping we run more of the WCO once MM was hired. We have the perfect roster to run a WCO. Athletic OL and TEs. RBs who are good receivers. WRs who are good route runners who can run well after the catch. And an athletic QB who can throw well on the run.

If his dream is to go back then he will go back...for us fans the Cowboys are one of the most frustrating franchises to root for year after year, but for a coach it's a dream job. What other organization in the world can you suck at your job for 10 years and not get fired? Moore has it made to be the Cowboys Head Coach if he waits it out, or if he wants to coach in the NFL he is likely 1-2 years away from getting a gig....or, he can do what 54 and 21 did and rob Jerry of a few bucks and pretend he loves football...sense sarcasm.

Blimey faldarah! I will say this for Moore. I will wager that his scheme would eventually mature and thrive and it has. 31 points you do not sneeze at it. And it is no walk in the cake with a D like ours (those lovable defensive chumps, largely.)
Off the field, Moore is a choir boy. Not bad, so best of luck in BSU country, far West lad.

Speaking of horror, from what I read it's not all Roses back at Boise State either. Here is some information taken from a recent column by Mike Prater, Idaho Press Sports Columnist discussing the pros and cons between Moore and Avalos:

"- The university has no athletic director — that hire should happen during the first part of 2021.
- The university has a new president — and she’s in charge of an athletic department that is broke.
- The east-side renovation of Albertsons Stadium has been halted.

Boise State, including fans, has a fractured relationship with the Mountain West Conference. In part, because of Harsin’s recent email barrage, and because of the American Athletic’s surge past the Mountain West in the conference race for G5 supremacy.

The next Boise State coach needs to win games, typically not a problem around here.

More important, the next coach needs to inspire millions of dollars in cash and rivers of resources to build, push and perfect the program, on and off the field.

Avalos might be more prepared to run a college program right now, to recruit college students-athletes, to win games right away. And do so with pizzazz and energy.

Moore, a more cerebral coach with less public pizzazz and energy than Avalos, has more history and tradition at Boise State — and his uber-popularity will instantly fire up Bronco Nation.

Yes, there’s a chance for a Ty Detmer-BYU debacle and divorce, but anything involving Moore is worth taking a risk.

- He could attract 30,000 season-ticket holders.
- He could raise millions to renovate Albertsons Stadium — and beyond.
- He has massive coaching connections all over this country — college and professional.

And, as we’ll never forget, he was 50-3 as a college quarterback.

It’s comforting that Boise State has a fantastic candidate in Avalos. But, IMO, Boise State has no choice but to hire Moore, the biggest and most successful winner in the history of the program."

As if being a Head Coach wasn't hard enough. If KM takes the job, he has got his work cut out for him.

it kinda does, nobody is going to hire him directly from college again as a HC especially not from Boise state.

Have you heard of Dirk Koetter?
Petersen was mentioned several times as a possible NFL coach, despite him having no real interest.
Granted, his most direct route would be to lead the Dallas offense in '21 with a healthy Dak and relatively healthy OL to being one of the top offenses in the NFL, but does anyone really see him being an NFL head coach in '22? Let him spend a few years at his alma mater where the last several HCs all landed high-profile P5 gigs, and then spend a few years at a big-time program P5 program, then, yes, he absolutely would have a route to the NFL, in his 40s, when he will probably be much more ready to be a NFL head coach.
Heck, thats probably when MM would be likely to retire after, hopefully, a successful run.

#1 in yardage. Not efficiency. Under KM and Dak— this offense starts flat and slow, and has to come storming back in the second half of games to even compete.

Way to erratic and inconsistent in the red zone. All in all, I think we have been settling for sizzle and no steak on offense.

Too much talent there to be this inconsistent and inefficient IMO. I really want to see what another OC can do with this offensive unit.

Kellen might see he's currently employed by an organization that's unlikely to maximize his efforts.
He'll be better off with Boise St. Jerry was likely persuaded by Linehan and JG to hire him.

Based upon some of McCarthy's decisions during his time so far, I doubt we'd be any better of with his play calling. I can't help but wonder if Mike Nolan might be a consideration to serve in a vacated OC job. It'd possibly give Jerry a convenient excuse to get him out of that DC spot. o_O

If BS offers KM the job.......He ain’t sticking around here.....he’s long gone. Give me 1good reason KM would not take the BS job if offered to him..........I couldn’t think of one either. Dream Job. NO WAY he chooses Dallas over BS if given the choice. JJ can stack $100 bills as high as he wants but it won’t keep KM. Because this choice between Dallas & BS Won’t be about money fo KM.

I thought most people hated him staying here, thinking Jerry forced him on MM, etc. Now people are terrified of his leaving?

I don't get it. I think there's enough talent here (when healthy) that any number of guys would do as well as he's done.

Im surprised, hes strongly cosidering it, but if he feels like this(Boise), is the best place for him, more power to him.

I think hes shown promise as an OC, but Im also intrigued at what MM would do, would he call plays?
