Got em!!!
@Hennessy_King what is there to get,? Did you actually read my post or is this just blind attack because it mentions Prescott's status. I am for signing Dak especially considering the brain trust in charge. And avoiding all QBs isn't wise but that ensuring we don't get a clown like Dwayne is the smartest play. Why would anyone disagree with that?

I saw Michael Strahan and Tony Gonzales saying he was lazy and was not putting in the effort needed to succeed. They heard it straight from sources in the WFT franchise. No one "made up" he was lazy, everyone knows it.

Umm. Steven Montez is QB3 for ***.

No who is missing the point badly?

Dang, it is funny when people talk crap but are totally wrong!

Montez, from Colorodo. I watched him play a lot in College. He has as much or more raw talent, then does Haskins and more experience. Probably has a stronger arm as well. Raw but he has talent.

Do you think Jerry and the brainstrust would draft Haskins? Then I would agree with your assessment.

Yep.

12 months prior to draft Dak he got beat to hell in PCB for Spring Break, then was arrested for drunk driving right before the draft.

Nothing really leans to them not drafting Haskins, especially since he was not seen as a knucklehead whatsoever heading into the draft. I'm not sure where you got that mental image from, but it isn't the case.

I heard stories about Haskins from people who are follow ohio State football who had heard reports surrounding Haskins having a two face image going back to high school. That landing in DC was because of connections. Especially since no one but Synder wanted it.

called this bust pre-draft, how a professional organization whiffs on a minimal experience college qb is beyond laughable. What sucks is that the skins probably win next week without him and just adds insult to injury to kicking us out of the playoffs and we also lose out on top picks.

That was a Jimmy Johnson move by Ron Rivera.
Good for the coach. They say he's one of the more upstanding people in the NFL.
He's a solid HC, not great but solid.
I can't see Washington losing to the Eagles Sunday night unfortunately for us. The eagles players will lay down because they know it's over for them. Doug Peterson and Howie Roseman are both on the hot seat with the Philadelphia fan base but are they with Jeffrey Lurie after winning a super bowl in 2017 and a division title in 2019?
Next Monday could be very interesting in Philly depending on how the eagles finish up their season.

There isn't a big college football power with less success at grooming NFL quarterbacks. There was an NFL champion qb from Ohio State in the Twenties. And he probably wasn't a qb the way we think of it today. Since then, Mike Tomczak and Kent Graham are the best. Except for Tom Tupa. Who was a great punter.

Clemson, no. To me, Clemson is not yet at the point where OSU or Bama are. They are still relatively new to the sensation of being dominant. LOL........

Trevor, he can make pro throws and you see that on tape. In big games, against big comp, he makes the pro throw. See, that's the thing. If you see that and that guy is playing QB at OSU or Bama or whatever other big time program, then he doesn't fit the mold of the QB I am speaking of. He is A typical but that's usually not the rule, it's the exception. Can it happen? Sure, it can happen for sure. Does it happen, not very often recently IMO. Trevor is the highest profile, best prospect coming out. He has all the things you are looking for. He is not my favorite QB prospect coming out but he is the best on everybody's board and he's earned that. If he could go to the right situation, he could be great. Like an all time great but he's probably going to go to Jacksonville and that seems to be one of those teams where QBs go to die. For him, it's all about the situation he goes to because he has all the talent you want. It's just a situation thing for him IMO.

In fact, I actually posted this in another thread. I like Lawrence, Wilson and Lance, all better then I do Fields. But, I could see Fields ending up being the more successful QB in terms of career because he may end up getting drafted to a team who can afford to have him sit and learn. If he ends up going to a talented roster, learning how to play QB in the NFL, he could be the better option. Trevor and Wilson could be going to Jacksonville and the Jets. That's terrible for both of them IMO. Horrible Franchises for QBs historically. I think both of them are better but they could crash and burn in the NFL just because of where they get drafted.

I agree, who ever drafts him which likely will be Jacksonville they need to use the draft and FA to give him protection, all to often these young QB go to teams that can't protect their QB and they take a beating. Joe Borrow in Cinn I heard many covering the NFL say Cinn needs to give him protection us front and quickly and that seems to happen to a lot of highly drafted QB selected by very poor teams

Most had Haskins ranked 1 or 2 headed into the draft. For those wanting to draft a QB to replace Dak, Haskins is an example of how bad a team can miss.

Buyer be warned that Ohio State QBs over the last few decades don't usually work out in the NFL. Does that impact Fields? Did we dodge a bullet not tanking and ending up with Fields?

Haskins is a perfect example of good NCAA talent...that either never matured enough in NCAA or thrown to the wolves too soon.

I think he had the wrong people around him....and he believed his overhype.

Kid had a good arm...and could manage a game. In the NCAA. One more year would have done wonders for him both physically and mentally. Bit NOooOooo. Someone told him to get greedy and selfish.

"Look Dee....you might get injured. and that NFL contract.... you NEEED the money BAD. If you don't do this now you'll never get another shot".

You have to keep good people around you...and trust them.

this is true but also he started him yesterday after he basically was beyond disrespectful to rivera an the team. This tells me had he played well and they won he would not get released.

Its always easy to release bad players
Of course...that should be your objective.

pampered. Like I said...someone got in his head and he bit hard.

Extremely talented....no work ethic.

Brady? average talent and incredible work ethic.

I believe that this was the product of a very week QB draft class in 19. I mean, you really only had a undersized Kyler Murray. I don't believe anybody who has any objectiveness in that discussion suggests this at all. This season, you have 4 to 5 legit NFL prospects and that's not even talking about lower round QBs. Every draft class is different, in terms of the strength of the draft. If you are interested in getting a starting QB for your team, I think this is a very good year to try and do that.

How many times have you full out said “the way the draft works top QB prospects rarely bust now.” Dont make me search it. Please.

Yeah.. I’m not scared to draft them and I think they’re becoming easier to find.. We found a 4th rounder that you guys seem to like pretty well.

Same..

You never know how they’ll pan out but there is 6 QBs worth rolling the dice on early.

Haskins wanted out of there and didnt care about the team. He hated it when they drafted him.

wasn't our problem honestly.
