I dont think that Fields is going to be all that great. Then again, Ohio State doesn't have a great track record of NFL QBs. The ND State QB looks good, but we've seen what another ND State QB has been. Zach Wilson looks good. I don't trust Trask in the clutch. Mac Jones is someone we may be able to get in round 3-4.

I think a lot of it depends on the team and how they bring these guys along. It's a lot easier to throw when you aren't on your back.

Fields needs time IMO. I don't know what he will be yet. He has a lot of natural ability but I don't really know what he is. He hasn't had to make the hard throw at OSU, I agree.

Lance is Dak but bigger, stronger and faster with a better arm. If you like Dak, I don't know how you can't love Lance.

Mac Jones, he's similar to Fields but with a lot less natural ability.

Wilson, he could be special. He is the best I've seen thus far. Level of comp is the question for him but he can make the throws and he has a live arm.

Trask, I don't know about him yet.

How is Brad Kaaya doing? Is he doing better than Mahomes?

Well..

If you read my post.. I liked Mahomes talent.. Just hadn’t seen many spread offense / pure shotgun QBs at that time come into the pros and have a lot of success.

That would explain why I liked how others games translate better to the Pro’s and why I said Mahomes needs a Bill Parcells type to break all of his bad habits.

Now when similar players come out I’m not terrified to draft them anymore because I now have evidence that midgets, QBs who can’t throw very good, and Pure spread QBs no longer fail in this league.

I guess if the NFL was as all knowing as you he would’ve been a top 5 pick and not viewed as a huge risk as a 1st rounder.

what is strange regarding lynch is that he was chosen by the great elway himself. and if anyone should know qb's, it's elway. but i'll give it to john, he sets the qb bar high, and quickly moves on if they don't produce.
I said he was trash and was thrilled denver traded for him.

Yup. Then they expect the kid to succeed when he hears in the media the coaches he has to work with everyday didn't want him there to the point they were physically ill. Sounds like a great work environment to help a young kid get better. Then to top it off your coach gets fired before your rookie season then the next coach right after he is hired says he doesn't really believe you are the guy for the job. Heres some links rivera just didn't want him.

I don't 100% disagree, per say, but so what. I mean, this is the story for 90% of the QBs who get drafted into the NFL. I mean, that's the business it is. not gonna change.

I dont ACT like I am all knowing. Thats you my friend.

You talk down to people on here like you are an NFL scout and know everything. You dont. If you ran this team youd be fired by year 4 when your QB was on his way out and the team had imploded because you care more about the CAP than keeping your good players.

Ask the Browns how drafting a new QB every 4 years feels.

What a terrible take. Connor cook was drafted on a good raiders team and they made the playoffs and connor cook had to play at the end of the year when carr's leg got broke and looked terrible.
Lynch has looked bad in every situation. And not like below average bad but like how did he get drafted at all bad.

Neither of them are even on an NFL roster currently or at the point I heard that slop of a take the first time last year. None of the 32 teams in the league could find the right "situation" for them. Lol.

I like lance but the conference he's in scares me.
Wilson has made some crazy throws.
Its a really tough call between Fields and Wilson
Trask is meh

Listen.. I know your standard for me is super high but as risky as you tell me the draft is and how you see the best of the best GMs miss on players I would think you could understand me possibly missing on a player every now and then because like the professionals I will mess up.

I’m sure In hindsight the NFL would view a player like Mahomes who was so raw a lot differently and not let him escape being picked top 5 and after Trubisky.

So let's not blame haskins for being released. Rivera didn't want him there and gaslit the kid to the point he wanted out. Rivera should have been a man about it and not leaked all this trash to the media to tear a 23 year old down knowing damn well it had nothing to do with him.

I knew trubisky wasn't better than mahomes or watson.

You are going to stay a year to hopefully raise your draft stock only 14 spots? Insurance costs $$. He got an 8m signing bonus. If he invests that $$ thats one less year that money could be growing. Its open and shut
I already answered your question in the post you quoted. Insurance cost $$ bit if you come from a family with money that's not a thing so don't get the point of mentioning that. If he goes higher he gets an even bigger singing bonus. Its open and shut for you but that's most likely your real life family situation at that time speaking for you as is the case with me.

Well... Watson was a 1 read system QB in college..

Mahomes was a free lancer who did nothing from the pocket.

So that’s why people like myself liked the talent of Mahomes but knew he had a mountain to overcome.

Turns out Andy Reid just flipped the entire script on the NFL and free lancing QBs are now the trend and Mahomes Texas Tech offense is now being coached in AZ.

That’s why I’m high on players like Josh Allen and Justin Herbert when a lot of people aren’t. It’s clear the direction the league is going and what the new prototype is.

Zach Wilson says hi.

You arent a professional. Stop pretending to be. You're now putting yourself in the same realm as NFL GM's? lol. Why are you on here posting and not working for a FO then? Wow you have a high opinion of yourself.

Lol..

I’m good at evaluating QB talent.

Im not perfect but you expect perfection from me when Pro’s aren’t very good at it.

Heck Manning and Romo recommended Sam Darnold to the Jets. The idiots..

Exactly about Fields. I'd be fine with Lance, but not in round 1 with the reasons I mentioned about LB. Mac Jones I think is going to need development. Wilson is decent. I think we'd do fine with him, but I suspect another team will take him round 1 before we can. I don't trust Trask.

You're good? Beathard over Mahomes?

You should never talk about a Quarterback again just based on that one epic failure.

Then you factor in you thought Kaarya would be better and you should be benched.

I tell myself I am good at a lot of things. Doesnt make it true. No matter how bad you want it to be.

I’ve explained why..

Obviously I liked Mahomes talent more but at the time his style was not optimal.

Now the entire NFL has moved to spread making it easier for more QBs to transition.

Please comprehend that.. Conprehension is a big problem on here.
