News: Kellen Moore signs extension to remain Cowboys OC

Another genius move by our loser GM. Just like Jerry was the only person in the NFL that knew Garrett was a great head coach, now Jerry is the only person in the NFL that knows KM is a budding offensive genius and future head coach. Thanks, Jerry. Great move for another 25 losing years.

Funny, I listen to Sirius satellite radio all the time and almost all of them speak very highly of Kellen more seems quite different than this group

Why the extension?

What's the reasoning? Still have to let him go if he is offered a HC spot elsewhere.

He didnt even appear to be the frontrunner at Boise and somehow that becomes an extension here.

I dont see the advantage for the team to have done that regardless of performance.

Boise State was praying he would resurrect this dying school. Luckily...Jerry appreciates having a young genius coordinator.....not having to regret seeing another Sean Payton leave..and bring a Super Bowl to another city.

In his first year as OC in Dallas Moore had the #1 rated offense in the league.

In his second year he had the team back there until massive injuries, including the starting QB hit the team. Even then he has them ranked in the top half of the NFL (12th I think), and that is with an entire OL that is out for the year (and starting 2 UDFA rookie tackles) and having lost even the backup QB for a few games.

He lost his starting QB, his all-pro LT, his top 10 RT, his all-pro RG, his all-pro center (to retirement), and the other OL have been in and out of the lineup.

With that, last week his offense put up over 500 yards and scored 37 points against a division rival.

The guy is doing one hell of a job with the offense and Dallas is lucky to have locked him up long term.

Get the injured guys back and give him a half-decent defense, and Dallas will win a lot of games.

If the Cowboys could get the defense to perform at the level of the offense the super bowl appearances would be a given.

Some people don't seem to be aware that even if Moore doesn't turn out to be as good as MOST analysts and such think he is, he doesn't count against the cap, and can be replaced any time, if necessary. I don't personally think it'll be necessary, because as you stated, he's been a very good OC

In addition to the aforementioned , he lost his starting te in the first game. Also his swing tackle. And wisely works in cedric wilson and noah brown into the offense. Seeing more blake bell.

You know why? Because those offenses actually were affective against good teams and won us games against teams that weren’t terrible.

I don’t get the hate on this one.....he was due an extension here anyways if we wanted him back regardless of the boise job wanting him or not want him. If he underperforms on the job we fire his *** and tear up his contract- it’s not like this has salary cap implications.
He lost dak by week 4.

he deserved to come back after a year with a new coach and get another crack at it with the franchise qb and with mm and him going over a year of film to see what they liked and what they didn’t and how to adjust. With injuries he has us above average on offense at around 12 in efficiency.

can he be better? Sure. Can he be creative without injury or something forcing his hand? Sure. But overall he’s been pretty good and deserved to come back. Don’t really get all the griping.

Well, I promise that you’d be bringing it up often if those same stats said Dallas was ranked 32nd on offense.

Being ranked #1 doesn’t mean everything on offense is perfect, but it does tell you a few good things about that side of the ball. There are some things to fix... but there is a lot to hang your hat on with Moore’s offense.

And I wouldn’t have even brought that up without some daft fans (not you) throwing a fit about a guy that those in the know think very highly of. It’s ludicrous.
