Dalton has been average at best during his career, with the biggest issue with him is folding when it counts the most, having some of his absolute worst performances when it counts. he has had his 4 worst performances in his playoff games and was 1-12 in games that mattered...now 1-13.

yesterday he couldn't hit side of a barn in the first half. he couldn't even hit his usual dink and dunk throws. he made all the wrong reads and he held on to the ball way way too long at times leading to sacks....and his last throw was awful, plain bad for a veteran QB...as soon as he threw the ball, I saw 6 blue jersey's in the end zone and my immediate thought was why? why throw a floating duck when you see 6 blue jerseys' in the end zone and only two cowboys players....

in the end, Dalton couldn't beat any starting QBs in the league......

and now, having seen first hand, I am not sure he is even the answer to back up QB spot, if all he is able to do is beat 4-11 teams playing their back up QBs....a back up should be capable of keeping the team competitive, against average and good teams...he was never able to do that....

keeping Dalton is a mistake even as a back up....we could at least keep a low round draft developmental player. Dalton is not even developmental and there is no upside.

He's played one team with a winning record, and he's 0-1 in that one game.

He has 4 wins, but they were to the Vikings, the Niners, the Eagles, and Bengals. Dak at least beat the Rams and the Eagles last year... teams that had a winning record.

Seeing the excuses hes getting from his fan club are also incredible.

Are you NOT impressed by the "impact that Dalton has on games"?

The problem isn't really with Dalton as a player. It's with people who hate Dak so much that they were determined to talk themselves into thinking Literally Anyone Else would be the franchise savior.

He's a good backup, but nothing more than that.

You don't want to give Dak [imaginary number/year]? Sure, OK. But talking like Dalton was going to make the Cowboys a contender was just crazy time.

So he is on par as past QBs for past 20 years

Dalton is a back up quarterback , anyone who thought anything else is delusional. Can’t wait to hear Colon Cow-turd tell me how much better Dalton is than Dak , freaking laughable .

I'll always route for our players, but Dalton is simply average and there is no justification for propping him up as if he's better than he is. Especially because you dislike Prescott for whatever reason. I can understand salary, but I disagree with harping on that one point.
We're going nowhere with Dalton.

Something was bad wrong. He was so bad there had to be. its like he forgot all his mechanics at once. I was siting there like. Whhhhhhaaaaatttt! He missed some very bad 18 throws.

There was many last week that said Dalton was the accurate one. :muttley:
