Brady is washed up

It hasn't been solid. It's been herky jerky and inconsistent.

Right now, Brady is getting by on his extreme awareness and football sense. The number of passes he has left in his arm that he can zip is dwindling game by game. He'll prolly make the playoffs, though, as the teams he has left to face are bad, and he can beat the bad teams.

It was always solid with some bad games here and there (with a new team)

You'd have to watch the game w/ him playing to see what we're talking about. Stats are not going to show it.

It never ceases to amaze me the lengths people will go to avoid simply admitting they’re wrong in the face of obvious evidence.

11-5 team record
4,633 yards
40 TDs/12 INTs
102.2 rating (72.4 QBR)

...oh, and he’s 43-years old

What's even more amazing is watching people use stats to desperately prove something. Fail.

Sorry, I don't run. Brady has performed better than I thought, no doubt. However, if you watch, he still prematurely dumps the ball off and doesn't always have the arm strength needed.

Are you capable of simply admitting you were wrong in the face of obvious evidence?

Basically, as the body ages, it's not that you can't rifle one in any more, you just can't do it as often. Brady has the best football mind I've ever seen, however, so that will make up for fading skills at least to a point.

Try analyzing, discussion, and observation for a change. It's fun.

Well, all the Brady bashers in this thread should probably exit stage left.
I never run.

Brady's better than I thought he would be. He shows signs of age at times w/ early dumpoffs and arm strength questions when he has to go to bullet throws too often. Happens.

Wasn't directed at you but it does happen. Peyton Manning lead Denver to a super bowl with a noodle arm and zero mobility. At age 40+, its not about arm strength anymore. The guys that last this long in the NFL survive on guile and a deep understanding of the game. Brady will beat most teams b/c he's smarter than the opposing coaches.

The starter of this thread often spams saying everyone else makes stupid threads.

Wonder if he'll say the same about his.

You’re right...you never run...you’re ready to stand your ground and spout stupidity in light of the evidence.

Bravo.

The stats are a reflection of his play on the field genius, smh.

Oh, Brady dumps off passes sometimes? What amazing and profound insight, luulz.

Remember after week 1 when Brady lost and the Pats won and all the morons were like "see. I told you he was a system guy!!!". Lmao. Bill looks clueless without Brady. Their offense has looked beyond pathetic the last 2 weeks. Like Dalton leading Dallas bad.

People were saying Brady was washed last season because of his down numbers. But did anyone look at his receiving assets? They were terrible. He now has guys to throw to. And he's actually efficient at it, unlike Winston.

You really think Bill won't be right back in the thick of things if he gets a normal off season where half the team doesn't opt out?

Brady is great but he was dropped onto a team that had a lot of things going for it and they have turned over ever rock to improve it for him. If you put him on the Pats in 2020, he fares badly.

Round one may go to Brady but you can't declare a winner.

If Belichick doesn't start drafting better, it won't get better for him. Of course Brady would need a team around him, every player needs it. Simple fact is, a 43 year old shouldn't be playing at his level even WITH that much talent. How did Peyton look at the end?

Simple fact is, life is far easier for a HC when you have a legendary QB.

don't disagree. i have faith that BB will find the pieces though. TB has been very fortunate to avoid serious injury and does everything to keep himself in shape. Two legends together was a good situation.

May go to Brady? Lol. Brady wiped the floor with Bill this year. The 2 seasons in the last 2 decades the Pats did not make the playoffs came when Brady was not playing. Hmmmmm. Seems pretty clear to me.

All I hear is excuses for Bill and demeaning what Brady did at 43yrs old. But carry on.

I never demean Brady but it is silly to think that a single player controlled the fate of a team more than the coach who decides who plays at all positions, when they play and what they are taught.

You want to talk about the two season BB didn't make the playoffs? He got to 11-5 with Matt Cassel as his QB & was only denied the playoffs due to the playoff structure not because his team hadn't earned it. The other year is 2020. Hmmm seems pretty clear to me.

Brady, Leftwich and Arians came up with a solid, more conservative game plan of complimentary football. Running game, defense and special teams all contributed to Bucs win in addition to a shorter/intermediate pass game vice the constant high risk down field stuff.
Give Brady that kinda support in a big game and I'd take him over anybody.

Good luck against the first State Farm brother GOAT, I don't like your chances but you've proved the masses wrong before,
Go get that 7th ring you old geezer, lol :)

Not sure how much more Brady has to do. Sure BB is a great coach. But in the NFL, winning is about the QB far more than any other position. Just ask Andy Reid. Pats went from champs to not even making the playoffs. Bucs went from not making the playoffs to the NFC title game. Case closed.

Ksboys is on to something here.....he’s saying a 43 year old QB may not have the same strength he used to, loool.
