I think you are correct on all accounts - was thinking the same thing about New Orleans. Winston could be a very good QB if someone could reign in his wild side. (in that I mean carelessness with the ball) Peyton can probably do so
Doubtful. Jameis has had too many bad habits for too long to suddenly rein them in, even with a coach like Payton in his ear.

I always wanted the Cowboys to draft Brees and then sign him when he was available.....and always thought Rivers was an underrated Qb playing in San Diego....
*Phil Rivers has got game ,his own tribal zip code per population capita& our number,,, always had.

I wonder how many record stats Dak will have when he retires, like Philip Rivers, without a SB appearance... ???

No cursing with Philip Rivers just a lot of shucks, golly’s, dadgumits and shoots.

It was time for both.
That said, Daks agent just asked for another 10m per year...
Wow this puts Dak in the top QBs 3-4 in the NFC no matter who’s ranking them.
And two above him are fringing retirement although Rodgers will probably go another couple seasons.

Brees could have played for years more. The guy is a machine. Don't know what happened in the game that went so wrong, but that one game is a fluke out of the year. I'm sorry to see him fold up.

this must have been the first Brees game you watched this season? He’s been visibly washed up the entire year. He has virtually no arm strength left and was easy to defend without the threat of a deep ball. No way in hell he needed to do anything but retire.

Other than Mahomes, the younger than 33 crop of quarterbacks in the NFL looks less than stellar right now.

Bunch of meh.
Are you a fool?

Dak, Deshaun watson, Lamar Jackson, and Russel Wilson have 4 of the highest passer ratings of the last 5 years.

Josh Allen and Justin Herbert are looking like ballers.

Only old man Aaron Rodgers is the only one on their level.

The league has never been in a better position with young quarterbacks.

I used to post on this general NFL forum back in the mid 2000's that had alot of Charger fans. I remember when both were on the Chargers it was a very hot debate on which to keep

Complain about his arm strength all you like, he still produced. 5th highest QBR of his career. YPA good, INTs negligible.

QBz are easy to find

Dak haters don’t want to admit it but Dak is about to get paid. We pick to low to have any leverage on him and there are teams that would trade two first round picks for a franchise quarterback of Dak’s ability. Two first round picks + for players like Jamal Adams and Tensil. Dak would be a bargain. He will get another exclusive tag.

Dak is at the prime of his career.

Turns 28 in July.

that’s a 3-5 year window to get paid and win something for the fans.

Dallas is wasting his best years.

Why not Stafford to IND or CAR, NE or WAS? He deserves a shot since he's been in NFL purgatory for almost his entire career.

Too often injured lately is why, and while these days 32 isn't that old for a quarterback, he's no spring chicken, either.

Wentz is at best as good as Dak, but not better. If Dak's not worth two 1st rounders, neither is Wentz.

Drafting a quarterback is always a risk, the NFL is littered with 1st round quarterback failures,

Don't see Dak going anywhere...

huh...??….
