If you really believe that, why bother to watch the Cowboys? Why post here? If we’re so doomed, why bother with any of it? What’s the point?

No chance you keep him as a backup. We dont have the money for that and from what i read he also wants to start. Took the year only to prove he can be a starter in this league.

I am not rooting for failure. I am just smart enough to know that is what is around the corner. I also know my son won’t be president. I am not rooting for his failure either. Get some perspective, man.

I don’t mean you’re sitting around chanting “I hope they lose!” I mean, if they won’t compete, what draws you? So anyone that thinks the Cowboys COULD be competitive is stupid? Yeah, I’m fairly certain that none of my kids will be president either, but doesn’t the Cowboys’ chance for success have at least a slightly better probability?

Yeah, we haven’t won anything in awhile, and the current team needs lots of stuff, but like fans of any team, it’s natural for fans to be hopeful. They’re smart enough to know that things are tenuous, constantly changing, and virtually anything can happen. If the book was already written, people would have gone somewhere else.

No . 10-15 won’t make the difference. The sum overpaid players will . Paying dak 35-40 mil willl doom this team ability to compete for a Super bowl . If your target is 8-8 and occasional playoff appearances and a happy politically correct cowboys , then dak @35-40 mil is a good way to go .

I don't like Dalton either but at least I'm honest enough with myself to know that 1.3 mil would get Dalton signed. He made 3 mil for this season as a backup so he's not going to take 1/3 of that for 2021. Like I said I'm not a Dalton fan but you have to be realistic.

Most people expect some sort of “payoff” for their time and/or loyalty. It’s an investment for most people. I wouldn’t blow money on tickets for a movie I thought sucked. Get what I mean?
