Outside of Winfield Jr., nobody even knows the names in Tampa's secondary. The same thing can be said about the Chiefs and the Honey Badger.
You're preaching to the choir. I'll continue wondering why fans trash jerry so much but they think just like him. We have the best corner duo and wr corps in the league yayyyyy

bbbbbuuttttttttt Lamb was too good to pass up....
Well for who we had there yeah he was. In a vacuum yes you would’ve wanted to go defense, but in the actuality of who was available there Lamb was the best pick. The consensus other choice was Chaisson and he was cheeks this year. He’s on bust watch.

It's not one player. It's the fact that we constantly do it. Leads us to mediocrity.

Tampa has the 6th ranked regular season defense and also the 6th ranked post season defense. The Packers had the 9th ranked regular season defense and the 3rd ranked post season defense.

It’s always been the guys closest to the ball make the biggest impacts. The flash in on the outside the heart is on the inside

because of TB front 7

Gotta pay attention

I assume you mean the GB front 7...but LOL NO

First one was no pressure, his arm is just shot.
Second one had no pressure, arm is just shot.
Third one was an unblocked DB on a blitz.

The GB front 7 didn't do anything.

We pick in the top third of every round. If we have any fortune with how the draft falls at all, I wouldn't hate to see us spend the 3 or 4 picks of the draft on linemen.

Its sad people are slowly figuring this out. A solid DL that is able to contain the run and get pressure on the quarterback is essential.

A bad DL will make a good secondary look average.
A good / great DL will make a bad or average secondary look good

And lets not forget the other major factor...scheme
Coach needs to work around with the talent provided not force schemes that don't work with lazy/ dumb players

What I saw today was two teams that were able to contain a ground game, play extra men in coverage and frustrate two future, hall of fame QB's. The difference was Tampa Bay was able to generate consistent pressure with their front four, where Green Bay could not. It's that simple, win the trenches, win the game!

Certainly it doesn't help when you have a bonehead HC not going for it down 8 late in the game inside the 10 nor a CB who has no understanding of time getting beat beat at the end of the half.

I don't want to hear people complain when the team doesn't make the exciting, wow pick at 10 this year and takes another offensive lineman or defensive lineman in rd 1 and a two down run DT in rd two. Someone said recently, can you name the starting secondary for the Washington Football Team? Not many can and they are one of the best defenses in the entire league due to their front 4.
The one constant in any era of football

The era's Quarterback for the Ages switches to an NFL footnote franchise, leads them to the Super Bowl immediately, and the conclusion we should draw from that is about the importance of the trenches?
Yep.

This actually holds true for either side of the line. If you have a line that can dominate, chances are very good that you win.
