News: Rex Ryan suggests Stafford should go to Dallas

There are some rumblings that the Dolphins may draft or trade for another QB. Why in the world would you take a lesser player at the most important position? I don't care if Dak makes market level money, if he gives us the best chance to succeed. As for Zack Wilson, he is an unproven commodity, where there are so many busts at the position every year. Team trades away Dak and they might be picking in the top 10 for the forseeable future.

Because I don't believe Tua is a lesser player and I look to capitalize on that situation.

At worst Tua will be a guy who can get Dak like results and we can move on at the end of his deal and draft another if he's not one of the best.

I expect a lot of people to think that.

Stafford is a really good player in a bad situation.

In Dallas he would shine and probably make us a better team but at worst we're right where we currently are.

So it depends on money for me.
Stafford is the reason why its a bad situation lol......

The Cowboys' problems are deeper than quarterback.
We're going to need a John Elway, Tom Brady (in his youth) or Patrick Mahomes to overcome our front office incompetency. And even those guys may have succumb to the aura of futility that encompasses this franchise.

Yep.. That's why he will be a hot commodity this offseason.. Because a lot of NFL teams want him to bring his bad product to them.

He's such a hot commodity that the Lions are the ones getting rid of him not the other way around lol. But yes, continue to gauge how good someone is based on "NFL teams" being interested lol. Dak is considered the best quarterback in free agency. If Stafford was cut.....it would still be Dak.

I thought about if Jerry owned the ALL Pro team....and I honestly think they would still underachieve somehow....

Dak's younger.

Nobody would take Dak over Stafford if they were the same age besides Cowboy fans.

Just one more way to work the ever present Dallas Cowboys into a sports talk conversation.
Yep, so much of the Stafford to Dallas talk centers around the fact that he's from here. That won't matter -- he'll go where the money and situation are best.

Which won't be here because we already have a QB that ownership loves.

Not happening anyway.
We are not one or a few players away.

we will overpay our qb.
Then continue with the cowboys lost years.

Not really a Stafford fan but if for some reason they couldn’t sign Dak long term that would be a decent backup option.

You really like to ignore facts. You don’t like Dak because he doesn’t beat good teams. Stafford sucks at beating good teams. Like is horribly bad at it. So you want to replace Dak with him? You really are special.

Yeah that's pure crap. Hell Cowboy fans like you are the ones that would because y'all have a known history of not actually watching other teams play lol. There is nothing to like about Stafford. IF you want to get rid of Dak that's fine but do it for a rookie or Deshaun Watson. These Andy Dalton and Matt Stafford signings just aren't going to replace Dak....it is what it is. You are infatuated with him because he can throw a deep ball...not a accurate one of course....but he can throw it 60 yards......congrats....that doesn't win you games.

Stats-wise over the past few years, they're pretty much the same player. Toss out the high and the low for each. And it's a bunch of high 90s years. Dak gets more on the ground. Stafford probably has a worse team around him.
Yeap, who is cheaper in the near term?
Dak, Jameis, Stafford. To me Dak is my third pick in this group of players. Again not anti-Dak. I am anti paying a good player franchise QB money. It will not work out. The team will be immediately up against the 8 ball as they say.
